I think it is a great idea for Sri Lanka to buy the JF 17 from Pakistan. It needs to be the best and most modern version with the ability to be upgraded (engine, radars, misile, etc.) in the future and at the best low price. It could serve as a stand by until switching to the next generation. This idea should be proposed to China's Senior Foreign Minister Advisor Wang Yi. The sale could be tied to BRI connection of Hambantota Port to Gwadar Port, sale of Palm Oil and opening of repair, maintenance, manufacturing, training facilities, etc in Sri Lanka for current and future sales of the jet. It would be a great place for current customers to send their jets for work in addition to Pakistan and China.
. Look, all five countries, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Egypt alone signed contracts to build as many as a hundred J-7’s and a hundred K-8’s on their own. Same applied to Pakistan, therefore it’s only right that these countries follow their hearts again!!! .
