Sorry I've done so many review videos lately but the products I've done are items I thought would be useful to an hvacr technician. I have links in the description above if you'd like to pick one up for maybe a Christmas or birthday present for someone. 👉👉👉 I made a mistake when I said the clamps are not LIVE VOLTAGE until it senses voltage! THEY ARE LIVE!!! I had the meter leads in the wrong position.....🤦🏻

I carry one of these on my Harley Road Glide Ultra. I use it to keep my tires inflated while touring, and I'm covered if I ever have a dead battery.

I had to use it on my van Monday because I left the power inverter on. 👍👍

I have no issue with the reviews. In my car, which is a work vehicle, I carry a tire plug kit with the T handles (pistol grip, not the straight screwdrivers). I also carry a large tube of rubber cement. Next to that is the Campbell Hausfield 12 volt compressor that's lasted me close to 25 years now. I can't even tell you how many times I've been saved by that. At one point, I had to plug two tires plus use a doughnut, but I got home, and to the tire shop the next morning. For anyone who doesn't want to be stuck in a parking lot for hours, waiting for a tow truck (especially in this time of 'no spare tire' cars), I strongly recommend a good tire plug kit. Yes, the "road hazard warranty" people will immediately replace it - but you can get there!

The brass one is an adapter so a Schrader air pump can be used on a Presta valve. This valve type is found on higher end road and mountain bikes.

Seems like a pretty good get-you-out-of-a-pinch product . Good no-nonsense straight to the point review by the way , you're getting real good at it mate 👍

Yeah I think it's pretty decent, that's the last review I had to do to fulfill my obligations. I'm going to be holding off for a while. These videos don't get many views which hurts the channel. Definitely not worth the retail value of $100. Their cost is a whole lot less so they're getting cheap advertisement.

The jump start part seems good, but I wouldn't rely on the air compressor part to last because they get so hot. Also be careful connecting that without a battery, they run 16V+ when fully charged and can sometimes blow your light bulbs.
@HVACRSurvival
@HVACRSurvival Год назад
You're right about both things. I noticed the voltage was higher when I rechecked it with my meter in the correct lead position 🤦🏻. That's why the interior lights were so bright.

that can also ruin one or multiple of the electronics and computers in a vehicle, not so much the 16volts, but potentially large spikes when trying to crank as solenoids and relays turn on/off as well as other things. now days stable supplied battery voltage is critical on all vehicles, even weak batteries can and often do wreak havoc.

I'm only using it on a Harley Road Glide Ultra, where the maximum tire pressure is 40 psi on the rear. I also carry a Fri Concepts Air Plugger, so I'm covered if I get a flat tire, or have a dead battery.

FWIW not a bad product for an all in one, I still carry a separate 160lpm 12V air compressor running 31" tyres on the 4WD with no duty cycle and a lithium ion jumpstarter but for my ute with smaller tyres this would be a good product. Definitely a great review for sure. 😊

I got a Milwaukee 18v compressor without the tank for my 35" tires and it can fill them in 4.5 min from 11psi. I paid $180 for it.

I believe that's a good idea. Maybe that's why they were nagging me to have it done before November. I've had this for a couple months and haven't had a chance to record a video. It worked on my daughter's car, I forgot to put that in the video.

I don't mind the product reviews. The performance of this product does seem impressive. You might want to try charging it from the car charger -- some of these really do need 15+ volts DC to charge and will only charge slowly or not at all from the lower voltage of an automotive electrical system. Unless the engine in your van has some clever tricks designed in (partial compression release?), and maybe not even then, I don't think your Fluke meter was giving accurate information. Those motors pull a minimum of a few hundred amps. (I have a 376FC, maybe I should try it?) Years ago, I read that in Asia, English writing is viewed as a way of marketing, sometimes without considering whether or not the letters actually have a meaning. I don't know if that's true, but it might explain the unusual names of this and so many other products.

It's warm right now and that might have had something to do with it. Try your meter on your truck and see what it does. I thought about putting the battery system in the freezer for a hour or two and then try it but I needed this video completed.

@@HVACRSurvival Very silly it may be, but I figured it out! I got similar results with my 376FC in min/max mode and was quite surprised. When I accidentally flipped it to MIN and saw a recorded reading of -310 amps, I remembered that hall effect sensors have polarity. Had I flipped the clamp over, the MAX value would then have been "correct". Only that wouldn't have been convenient, with the display and controls facing down. The "max" (positive) value was actually that of the alternator charging! For cross comparison I grabbed a UEi DL429B and its logic behaved the same as the Fluke, capturing a 296 amp reading. (If anyone really wants to know: the readings came from a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic with a 4.8 V8)
