I think the interview was a bit awkward just because the hosts energy and Jhene's energy are completely different. Jhene just comes off very humble and calm, her energy is just very down to earth. Shes doesn't fall into that typical "star' stero type, she does things on her own time becuase she cares more about her own personal life then the celeb life she puts her self first and because of that it may come off as if she doesn't take her career as serious but its her hobby not her life.
As a student of healing touch therapy, I appreciate her desire to produce music and sounds that heal instead of noise that is a catalyst of destruction. I have played a sound bowl once but now want to buy my own.
They need me in the audience. Been a fan before she blew up & loving her since middle school. Btw! The host is doing too much lol 😂 Jhene is such a vibe.

I don't get the hate on rocsi, I mean, they're different and have different vibes but since she's a fan we could see that she was so excited to talk to her in person, just like any of us would be. I know jhene is calm and have her own calm vibe but just like she said, she is open minded and I'm sure she understands that rocsy has a different energy and that's ok. I'd rather this one, that is really into jhene song and life, than some who doesn't care about jhene's lifestyle or music.
Your perspective was very well said i just think the opinions about Rocsi are simply acknowledging her energy that seems to be overly exaggerated especially for the dynamic of a "uncut/lounge" feel. She was interviewing Jhene as if they were in the same environment as 106&park to which that exuberant demeanor would suffice but in this case it did seem a bit off putting. I don't believe you have to have the same energy/personality as the person you are interviewing but as a host you should have the understanding of the dynamic behind the location as well as the artist you are trying to get to know. Imo there wouldn't be anything wrong with toning down your pep to keep the same vibe as the actual point/message behind the whole cricket "lounge" direction. This show has more of an up close and personal feel than a "let's get into the top 5 right now"..so with this being said of course Rocsi's energy wouldn't deter Jhene's manner because she's grounded in who she is a person, this was just more of a take on Rocsi's personal chemistry during this interview.

You cannot not like Jhene. There is so much to love about her. I remember 1st knowing about her from J14 magazine and as lil fizz cousin. I was like 13 then and in 30s now. Im glad she is finally getting the attention she deserves. She's right about everyone having a 6th sense but people need to find it. Need to wake up. They will call her crazy but she is real!
Saw Jhene live at Chene Park in Detroit and it was the best concert ever. She did most of her songs and we was singing along to every one. Didn't want it to end. Come back soon babe

I think Jhene needs interviews with people that get her. I'm also very much like Jhene in terms of personality, i don't like praises etc and at Primary School, i remember one teacher of mine who got to learn that she has to tone down and be calm when she talks to me,she used to yell and i would answer with a very calm voice. Anyways i really love Jhene,as you don't change yourself for the world but rather be the one reminding it to change itself...
