This discussion shouldn't have happened. Whatever happened between Deitrick, Damita, and Isaac should have been said in private. That's what's wrong with Christians these days, spending more time gossiping and less time praying.

I just listened to Damita's interview and I think she addressed her marriage issues appropriately. She wasn't dropping names and making a whole lot of accusations. Deitrick is very immature. He needs to grow up. Dominique better keep praying also because if he got her pregnant while he was still married who is to say that he won't do it again, while she's the wife this time around.

I love and respect both of them. There is much growing up to be done for all of us. We as saints of God are to always speak life into our fellow believers and not tear them down. We have to help hold them up. I do pray the best for both of them and their future. They have given us something beautiful and I am truly thankful for them. I will not give up on them, nor speak wrong of them.

I'll put it like this deitrick is a pastor for profit. He lives a lifestyle does towards a r&b artist. It was unfortunate though cause he was brought up this way. His mother by his words is a prophetess (impossible, Matthew 11:13) which means he was taught twisted scriptures as a child. Those who still follow him, follow because the great a gospel of the flesh and material world rather than the spiritual world.

What conscious said is true. The bible doesn't say we can't judge. It says don't judge unless you're prepared to be judged. We all commit Sin, It's by God's grace and his grace alone that our sins are forgiven and we are allowed to see him up in heaven. The thing is God also said this about false preachers, they won't go to heaven cause they have caused his flock to lose sight of the real prize. Is the same as false prophets. His mother calls herself a prophetess. However Jesus himself proclaimed that the era of prophets are done. And the bible says in the old testament to stone all false prophets.I know I will be judged, but it's also our job to expose those who deliberately destroy the kingdom of God by twisting his words into a wicked offspring only allowing those on top to make money, like a pyramid scheme. Seriously look at any preacher, if they're living a lifestyle where they have so many material things and live like a rock star. That's your false preacher/prophet cause those moneys he receives are meant to go towards programs made to help God's people who need it. Not so he can fly first class or have a nice luxury car. That's what a job is for. I want to see the preacher that owns a company that's successful and still had the urge to preach. At least he's more believable in his reasons to preach.
Matt 11:3 has nothing to do with prophets. Furthermore it says in the Bible 1 Corinthians 12:28 "And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues" and Ephesians 4:11 "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;".

I do apologize about Matt 11:3, because I misread it. You put Matt 11:13, not 3. However, my answer is still the same for that verse as well. I think we might have to agree to disagree on this one, friend. I think we should pray for each other, so that if one of us has misunderstood, then the truth should be revealed. On another note, I do believe that Deitrick should have left it alone. This shows that he is still hurting from the situation. Maybe we should pray that he heals, forgives, let it go, and learn to take his issues to the Lord instead f the world.
Deitrick has a very good heart and is very remorseful for everything that has happened. I just pray him and Isaac can put this behind them pray, repent, forgive each other and make some powerful music together.
Deitrick was right for coming out and telling the truth about what happened. I wouldve done the same thing. He took all the heat when carree actually broke up his home. No it wasnt right for him to have a child out of wedlock but its just as bad for you to come and destroy your brothers family and then be quiet and allow him to take the blame for it. Deitrick Haddon is a great artist. People put to much interest in other people's lives .If God can forgive what makes man feel like they are judge and jury of every man's sin. People make mistakes all the time but no one is better off than the next .

But Damita cheated with Isaac, yet Deitrick is the villian. So he decided to put the whole story out there. I DON'T THINK I would have handled it like he did, but I DO understand.

Damita said nothing about his adultery, he told on himself she was willing to work on their marriage and make it work. He threw himself under the bus and now two years later want everybody else under the bus with him. If nothing was done then two years later its NOT even important! John Sorrells again I agree! Put 2 and 2 together based on facts he stated and things known. The spirit is know by the spirit and mine didn't believe him from jump. Im not gonna bash or bad mouth him but state what I see from things he stated and to the facts. I have no clue the entire situation behind the dissolution of this marriage but here are things proved. It is known Damita did NOT want the divorce but Deitrick did. He left Damita the night of her mothers funeral which was the end of June 2011 and his daughter was born April 2012 which puts her at being conceived somewhere around July 2011. His divorce wasn't final until October 2012. He was married to his 1st wife for 15yrs but they had been together at least 20yrs and known each other at least 25 (stated from both Deitrick and Damita's own mouth). Within a month of him relocating to L.A. this other young lady was pregnant. Now no one is that comfortable stepping out on their spouse, mate, friend of that long unless it was something they were accustomed to (meaning he's been unfaithful previously......those selfies didn't just fall from the sky). I don't know what happened to make him want a divorce but what I will say is this man is obviously hurting. Hurt people hurt people. Sometimes as humans when we hurt and not allow ourselves to be humbled and healed we make stupid decisions that we ultimately have to go back and correct. Our feelings are not like light switches. After 20+ yrs and history you don't just fall out of love. These two have worked together in ministry and have built ministry for years. Every single album besides maybe the last 2 Damita is on. Regardless to whatever action he takes or flaunts he is always going to love and feel a certain way about Damita and vise versa. He is a very anointed and talented man so I pray he goes back to where he know God has called him to be. If he doesn't allow God to humble and heal him its just going to become a cycle. I also uplift everyone else involved in prayer from Damita, to Dominique, and those children. Just watch how things play out.......God does not play and will not be mocked, whosoever a man soweth yhat shall he also reap.

Thank God we have a God full of mercy so that we are NOT our sin and upon confession is IMMEDIATE forgiveness of sin and God Himself chooses not to remember it.

Deitrick isn't wrong for confessing his sin to the world, or speaking up about the alleged sin of Damita and Isaac (Because "What's done in the dark..."), but I feel that the way he presented this matter to the public seemed a bit...immature. As a believer of the Lord God, Jesus, if we have any issues or problems with anyone as a matter of integrity, and as a professional person, we are to speak with the person who may have wronged us in a private place. It shows a lack of integrity, character to confront anyone who has wronged us in public and especially a person who called a believer, christian of God.
If we don't cover our sisters and brothers in prayer when they fall short then we're also guilty of slinging dirt just like the world does. The world holds your dirty laundry over your head forever. Even when you're 100 years old and you try to do something good they're there to remind you of sins you commited decades ago. They love to bring up your dirt in your past. But Christ isn't like that. He forgives you and remember them not. So as His Children we need to be the same. We all know they have already repented of their sins so lets move on. And I wish Deidrick hadn't put it out there like that so that shame wouldn't be brought to The Body Of Christ and I do know we cannot say how someone should react after being violated but he also sinned and had a baby with his so we need to just pray for all of them. This is a painful situation and as Children Of God we are in pain along with this couple. But I do know that God can heal all wounds. We just do our part and pray cause they are our sisters and brothers and just because they have commited sins doesn't mean they are not children Of God. David commited sin of adultery and murder and God still Says he was a man after His Own Heart.
okay. my problem with dietrick's statement is that he says he understands why damita is staying quiet, but then turns around and attacks isaac. he was married to damita not isaac. she is the one who ruined that marriage, if anyone. the same people who will rip damita will rip isaac. if he can say that he understands her apprehension then he has to understand his as well. but i get the feeling that dietrick is using this as an excuse to get a "newer and better model."

You see why we need Jesus. If we go to him in contrition and confess our sin, He is faithful and just and will forgive that sin and cleanse from all unrighteousness. The sin is thrown into the "Sea of forgetfulness", never to rail against us. But man will not forgive or let anyone forget what has gone before. That is why scripture notes that "all have sinned and fall short", so we should not judge another. Remember that no man comes to the Father, but by Jesus.
Lord help us all but I saw this divorce coming when Mr. Haddon made his first movie. I told my daughters I saw something in him that would lead to what has happen now. His first wife may have made a mistake but he hurt things even more, when he went got with someone else and not only that had a child, which is what he didn't have with his first wife. This is a hurting situation, he should have stayed and work things out with prayer.
Mostly I stay away from these subjects because I'm too flawed to judge. I will however point something out and leave it alone, The primary reason we have these issues in the church and especially the black church is that we tend to deify the clergy. We make false idols out of them which when we study for ourselves we are taught not to do. When Barabas was preaching a doctrine other than that of Paul, Paul didn't need to vilify Barabas. All he said was 'at least the gospel has been preached'. So that's a good lesson in how to handle these scandals. Look to the word itself. Furthermore in my humble opinion, we as a church body seem to ignore the "humanity" of our chosen leaders. If you look at all the disciples we quote, none of them would likely be allowed to be church leaders in modern times. Yet we quote them. Our church leaders are still human, stop putting them on a pedestal, in doing so many people have their faith eroded. Some have their faith nullified to the point of giving up. But the leader is but Human, Mary was human, Moses was human, David was very human. So why do we not treat the current leaders like they're human? They keep making mistakes, or is it that we keep making the mistake of following without following the word first and the messenger 2nd? Not sure on that one but I offer this in the spirit of love, I'm not qualified to judge the ministers or any of you, I'm just trying to apply some common sense and ask why would I not expect a human to be a human? Human's are fallible, so it isn't IF you mess up but WHEN. Then we can begin dealing with real repentance, that's what Paul dealt with when talked of the ever present 'thorn in his side', Isn't that what Peter had to deal with after denying the Christ 3 times? History determines who are the villains and who are the heroes, it all depends on who has the pen.....
And ask Him if you are a sinner and to show you your sins. Then ask if you need a Savior? Christmas is the day that we choose to celebrate our Saviors birth. It doesn't matter what day we choose as long as we celebrate what He (Jesus) did for the entire world. I have answered your questions but do not want this to be a debate.
