We usually try and watch the BTS on our own as its tough to coordinate with artists and their time. And yes, the captions are on as we watch! Thanks for your support though :)

@@wufreacts amazing to hear! I'd recommend a song called Kehdena by Abdul Hannan (singer on O yaara) & Annural Khalid. They produced a masterpiece in my opinion very much R&B/Soul vibes. Love from the UK

Another great review and analysis of the song, by you guys. And Wuf, you got it absolutely spot-on about fireflies in reference to the blinking lights. The production supervisor mentions it in the BTS. So, well done.

Previous episodes of Coke Studio were focused on performance in a stage form, which meant all sort of traditional and modern instruments were on display. Since last episode they have changed the direction to more of story telling platform, it's more poppy and geared towards younger population. I miss that older platform where Pakistani classical, folk music was fused with modern sounds to produce amazing songs, but as an older guy myself, I guess it's time for us to start taking a bit of back seat and let these kids come through.

@22.06. In response to A.Billie's inquiry in regards to the Train symbolism, in Urdu language we use this as a reference to missed chances. For example, "ubb tau gaarrhi nikal gayi" , "waqt ki gaarhi agay nikal gayi aur woh peechay reh gaya". So literally, and metaphorically a leaving train signifies missed opportunities, chances, relationships.....

So much sadness in political, economic, moral terms around me.. and eventhough I've always been very critical of Coke Studio and i furthermore am not a fan of change in anything in this age, because it's usually for the worse, but still, i enjoyed CSP15 and every track in varying degrees and it made me feel proud and gave me hope as it felt like the only good thing coming out of Pakistan atm.. rather phenomenal in ways.. and i enjoy the reactions by people around the world as much.. from indians to every other ethnicity.. but watching one by a Pakistani(or someone of Pakistani origin) for the first time.. who's rather more critical than he should be, than anyone else has been, and then to claim he's not even a music expert.. utterly disappointed.
@wufreacts

Thank you first for watching, and your thoughtful comments. I think I don't disagree with your views for the most part. I think it is very important that if there is constructive criticism related to our identities and society, then it must come from within our own (and not some political pundit from the west, or foreigners). We cannot let others disingenuously criticize and show faux moral superiority. It is wise for us to remember this. Cheers

@@wufreacts who'd endorse that more than I.. by far, not enslaved.. that's what I'm saying, criticism from anyone else was next to non existent, until I heard the Pakistani guy's (your's most probably) pov.. Pakistan has gone through so much shit.. specially 90%+ of it's population.. and all they need right now is hope.. criticism comes when the ball starts rolling, for it to head in the right direction.. not when it's stagnant.. get what I'm suggesting here?
@wufreacts
@wufreacts 2 месяца назад
@@mjmsupreme3438 I do understand where you are coming from. I think many of us have been there. I also feel this is simply just one way to look at it. Constructive criticism constructs, and empowers, when it comes from the right people and the right place. There is no shortage of criticism. But constructive critique is helpful in rebuilding and redistribution. These are not my personal words, but tried and tested ideas. I like them.

@@wufreacts I get what you're saying, but I'm going to hold on to the nurture and cherish approach in such unprecedented times.. very unlike me but then it's in the face of unlike anything I'd imagined living through before.. it's more like music therapy for trauma and being gracious about the privilege it gives to divert the attention away from claustrophobic circumstances.. the glass not half empty but half full.. the power of 'shukar' no matter what comes your way traditionally drove all pains away.. though I also know it to be prophecised in scripture that laws of tradition in this context would take a twist during the final ages, not a doomsday enthusiast but the signs are all around us more than ever before.. forgive my delirium, i tend to get carried away often as a recent development.. pain within can seek solace from harmony that surrounds, 'what if there's no harmony and only pain there too?'.

They have moved from raw sound jamming sessions oriented to more popular cinematic music videos to capture wider international young audience on streaming platforms. It's a commercial move. Do we love the original CS live music sessions? absolutely!, but this is more Gen-Z relevant and that's where the most of the views are gonna come from. Again this is a commercial, business oriented move. Although this is great in its own right, but we will definitely miss the old CS and it's raw and powerful music.

The way things are progressing here I’d say they’ll be angling for gen alpha already

I do agree with ur opinion as an old die hard cs fan but i think now they r eying more the younger audience who could give them more streams and tiktok videos and there is also a subsequent popularity inc among younger gen of kpop which is mostly about visuals so they now r covering that aspect in cs if u checkout more of pak music scene pop music is now taking its place back i mean we still not there at the golden age of 90 and early 2000 but now is the time although the main prod xulfi has done more rock even alternative rock which gave him the recognition but surprisingly he is doing more pop music in cs he has done good 4 pak music most of the artist today r introduced by him so he has the respect esp among young and upcoming artist the whole team of musician in the last 2 season he has a hand in making their career sorry 4 long para but ur reaction was so good that i couldn't help it already subscribed u

I don’t think I disagree. It’s one way the younger generation is creating space for themselves whether we like it or not.

I like your in depth analysis of the songs. Its not like a typical review some other RU-vid channels are doing. Like saying some goods generic remarks and mention obvious things. This song is my least favorite song from Season 15 and the reason for that, it is overly cinematic which over Shadow the musical part of this song..

You guys may be in an other tangent here. You need to focus on the essence of human nature. This song is draped with tapestry of maloncony which touches the human soyl when there is deep irreplaceable loss. Loss can be Love, a child, a mother, an animal a place, an era...its all encompassing .
@wufreacts
@wufreacts 3 месяца назад
You’re not wrong imho. I think the lament of loss could be generally of a bygone era of train stations used by all Pakistanis, and live music club cultures that brought people and families together. These stories perhaps took place in those places
