And then she explains an entire story (directed towards her lover) ..the song has so many expressions. basically it sounds like the falling of her earring is a metaphor for falling in love & she keeps mentioning her lover & the cute moments they share in between.

Very true, but this is also a remake. Jhumka Gira Re was first recorded in 1932 in Miss Dulari’s voice, then again by Shamshad Begum in 1947.

Its literally so much better than that other remix because asha bhosle ji has so much versatility and diversity in her voice and in that new remix even having modern technology they couldnt replicate the same amount of softness. No hate to that other remix but no one can replace this one!❤ (Also asha ji had done indian classical vocal training for years and in Bollywood music industry there are very few singers who sing indian classical. Others believe in autotune)

Sadhana jhoot bolta hei, Bareilly me jhumka gira nahim.During 2019 general election duties in Azamgarh I went to the Bareilly market and 'sieved' the entire area but couldn't get the jhumka- the enigma called jhumka. What a beauty the entire song is centred on the mysterious jhumka!

Whatever bro. Pritam Arijit Jonita Ranveer Alia have done a good job. I stay away from remakes but I was interested as Pritam is music director. He didn't disappoint and it is as usual. This song is unparalleled and is a masterpiece. New one can't match it but is a good tribute unlike what Tanishq Bagchi does
