The Jiang Shi are a vampire-like creature, in China. Its translation would be "rigid corpse" and and it relates to the people who died and whose soul didn’t find rest, either because they didn’t receive a proper burial or because they died in tragic circumstances. It's someone dead, halfway between being a zombie and a vampire.
