Isn't the existing 6" concrete strong enough to erect the jib crane here with anchor bolts? What's the tonnage of the crane?

The jib-crane installation crew will typically bend (cheater-bar) or sledge hammer some of the bolts that will not end up straight when a jib-crane foundation is installed this way. This will compromise the pull out strength of the bolts-not good. They may decide instead to "slot" or open up larger a few holes in the base plate of the jib-crane with a torch, which also compromises the long term stability of the jib-crane. Both scenarios rely on the "safety factor" that is built into the engineering of this jib-crane, which is never what should be done. I'm the Project Manager at a manufacturing firm in Canada where I'll be overseeing the install of a 3200kg "Major" jib crane. Manufactured by O'Brien Lifting Solutions. It's a big job.
