I feel like Hanako was just taken by surprised as much as she was when they both started catching feelings but she liked everyone but she had a “type” and nobody had ever liked him and so he thought she was special and didn’t really know what it was like to have someone like him or have friends really until she came and impacted his life so drastically at first i didn’t think i would like this anime but it’s actually really incredible and i don’t really know any others like this one
