I think everyone seems to be a bit confused. Jensen is very reserved and shy. He's said this many times and when he's on stage by himself the panel is usually more serious and he clearly DOES have issues doing them alone. His comedic go-to is looking uncomfortable or having his 'wtf is happening' or his 'is this bitch serious' faces on. When he's doing that it's to get laughs out of the audience not for people to fight about whether the FANS were making him uncomfortable, which in turns blames certain groups of people for something that didn't REALLY happen. HE has problems being on stage alone. It's not necessarily the fans causing that discomfort. Just wanted to point that out.
I agreed with a lot of what you said. But in this case, fans WERE causing awkwardness at least to some extent, maybe not fully. I mean the script part, really? Can't say I blame him for being off-put by that. As for him being alone on the stage, it's NOT that he has issues with them, he handles them individually quite nicely as well. Here, he was clearly having a bad day. We all have them, he too is human.
@@ankitg7994 I agree with what you’re saying, he really did seem unhappy with the whole script thing. I understand his humor is pretend anger and sarcasm, he seriously seemed uncomfortable. The fact he said, “Dance monkey Dance.” Kinda really showed It. Thank goodness for such a great friend like Misha to come in like that!
Misha was so cute. He came up as he saw Jensen wasn't going to do it himself and was feeling awkward letting the fans down. He felt bad and ran up to the stage and as someone said in the comments he gave Jensen a brother to brother kiss on the cheek to calm him down. And I love how he did, Jensen just got way more relaxed the moment he saw Misha. Now I'm not saying this was a cockles shiping moment, I'm saying this is such a family we have right here, it could have been any of the cast members running up on the stage and helping him out, cause they all know about the problem he has being alone on the stage so yeah, I love them so much. And I really think the way they pulled the play of was amazing and I don't see why all the coments are pointing out how awkward it was, I just think they helped each other out and Jensen will one day help Misha out the same way, or any other cast member or friend of his.
He has, there was this one panel where misha was with Sebastian and misha was really tired, the audience didn't laugh till Jensen got to the stage. I mean misha was exhausted and he stepped in so misha could go and rest! Loved it
Loved the casting stories. Jensen: "After the second take, In she comes with the tongue." Misha: "And all you can do is defend yourself." Both mime licking a window.
Oh my god, the moment in 3:20, when he gives the microphone to Misha... Jensen's face is all like "omg finally sweet release, just say anything and look for another mic while I'll just calm myself down"
I feel like Jensen became a lot more comfortable when Misha came on stage. Not just because it's Misha I feel like he would have felt more comfortable if any of the cast came on stage with him. I always get the impression he prefers it when it isn't just him on stage.
I think it might be a little bit of social anxiety or something along those lines. I have something similar. If I am in a crowd by myself I will start to panic, but if I have someone else, I can remain mostly calm.
I always loved the relationship between Misha and Jensen. I kind of understand the Cockles romantic ship, but I just ship them as supporting friends. Kind of like how Misha came up and kissed Jensen on the cheek to help calm him down, it was super cute and supportive. I know when my friends or sisters kiss me on my cheek it really helps. I just find these two really did deserve the Chemistry award. ^~^
I kiss my best friend on the cheek in a supportive loving manner, because she has a serious low self esteem issue, so when I do that she laughs and turns all red and smiles like a goofball (we are both straight mind you) and she then knows again that she is loved. my other best friend will join in in this and kiss her hand. she always tries to push us away but it's an encouraging thing not really a sexual or romantic thing. I see it as sisterly support because I want her to know she is totally like a sister to me.
I understand what Jensen was going through, I personally am this way as well. I'm very shy and awkward onfront of people and I tighten up on my own, but if I'm with one of my best friends I usually calm down a little and loosen up a bit. So I understand why Jensen was uncomfortable with doing what this fan gave him. Props to Misha for being such a great friend backing him up like that.
I think Misha's Dad persona really came out in this. Like we all know he's a fantastic father but you can tell how protective he is of the people he cares about. Keeping a hand on Jensen's back to support him, the little "it's okay" kiss on the cheek when he first came out. It's such friend goals, but you can tell how much they feel like family.
I have to hand it to the actors with huge "fan girl" followings, despite the fact the he was IMMENSELY uncomfortable Jensen tried his best to entertaining and, above all, gracious. The fact that he was willing to accept the help of Misha goes to show what a giving actor/director/castmate that he truly is. "Dance monkey dance." Is not far off what is expected of these guys and that is a shame. Love you Jensen and don't ever dance if you don't like the music.
Jensen seems to have a bit is social anxiety. I'm happy he has friends there to help him out when he needs it. People sometimes react differently when socially anxious. And that whole request thing where people want them to do stuff on stage just makes him very uncomfortable.
well, I don't think Jensen is the only one who's uncomfortable. Misha doesn't look so comfortable either tbh. So please stop feeling sorry for Jensen because they actually chose to do the play themselves.
Amanda Sabel I actually give lots of credit to Misha- he saw his friend in a sticky spot and came out, "I'm here for you man. What do you want me to do?" I feel bad for them both. Jensen's "Dance monkey, dance!" had me feeling guilty just watching it. Hopefully everyone learns a lesson here and anything like this never happens again.
Amanda Sabel WTH? I'm sure no one blames misha for that! we know misha is a great friend and people just feel sorry for them becoz they seem uncomfortable but that doesn't mean some fans blame misha. idk if you are trying to make an argument here about the "poor jensen" thing which everyone has the right to say what they want to say and you feel annoying about it becoz they didn't add misha in that? that's sound ridiculous to complain.
Ok, same in here. This discussion is brought to live every few days and nothing new can be added anymore. It's the same argument over and over and it's gone long enough and become tiresome and useless as everybody has their own opinion of what they see. So please refrain from commenting on this matter in this channel anymore. I'll delete any comments about this from now on.
So I will skip the "awww Misha to the rescue I love how they have each other's back" because it's obvious and I'm just gonna say, to me what truly shows how Misha kind of saved the day was that after the Hitch scene, it was terribly uncomfortable for both of them, and we see Jensen that just wants to hide in a corner because of how embarrassed he is. And Misha immediately brought up the kissing scenes on screen so that he can make it until the end of the panel. Why did he brought up that? Because he knows Jensen can talk endlessly without any shyness about his job, about his professional life. Jensen is a very professional man who loves his job and when he usually doesn't talk a whole lot, he can talk without ever stopping about the technical or theoretical or practical side of his job. He wants to share it with us, explain everything to us, he loves it and he never gets uncomfortable for that. And Misha knew it. So he brought this subject up because he knows that when the discussion is about his job, whatever it is, Jensen immediately gets more comfortable. They know each other so well it's beautiful !
Exactly after the scene he said he was about to leave and misha quickly came up with a good conversation topic to make him feel a bit more comfortable. What a great dude, I'd want a friend like that
@@charlye3358 immediately after he kisses him on the cheek. You can't hear him but I'm partially deaf in my right ear so I read lips to help me understand what people are saying. He turns his head a lot after that so I can't tell what they're really saying then. That's the only thing I was able to make out.
@@dianaquick8883 it looks like he is saying. "What happened?" Not really "dont cry" and it is hard to read, he turns his head a lot, but it looks like. "What are they making you do"
I just love it how five minutes ago Jensen was talking about how much they like Misha, and told the audience "but don't tell him I said that!", and now he's telling Misha himself :')
Wow ... whenever I think I can't love Misha more, he does something really sweet like this. Obviously he saw how uncomfortable Jensen was (and who could blame him) and went out to at least help deflect some of the attention. That was so nice!!!!!
Kayseri Oliver They didn't send Misha on he saw how uncomfortable and stressed Jensen was getting and came on stage of his own accord to help his friend.
You can see Misha trying to interrupt about him not knowing the 'known-thing-with-actors' at 10:26 but just goes into sheepishly scratching his head xD
I think I rewound 2:41 about a million times! I absolutely love that these guys are all such good friends off screen, it really translates well on screen as a result. Thanks so much for uploading!
Same! I'd seen bits of this before but now I understand more the backstory, I feel so guilty watching these guys putting up with and following through with so many awkward moments for the fans. My respect and admiration for these two and their friendship has risen exponentially.
Thanks for this, I'd forgotten that Dark Angel story (and am now feeling the need to watch that episode again!). Re: all the tosh posted about 'poor' Jensen and 'poor' Misha being forced into that script thing - maybe some fact checking might be in order. For instance - Jensen was perfectly happy, having fun playing the curmudgeon over the sorting hat, and not at all upset about Jared. This was NOT the year Jared and Gen had to rush home, and if people looked at the big screen they'd see a big hint that our lovely Moose was still there as there's a call for his photo shoot.
do you ever think of that time jensen refused to react the hitch movie scene until misha came up to the stage and he was like ok lets do it because i do and i cry
I don't think people realize that Jensen does NOT a ship destiel and he isn't okay with it and we just shouldn't mention it around him because he isn't comfortable. No matter how much we want to refuse, it's true. I think we should respect that.
Actually, while I agree that we shouldn't force it upon the cast members, Jensen has indeed said that he was kind of weirded out by it but for the most part he didn't care. I understand where you're coming from, though.
Nora Johansson yeah it would suck. he played a character who was VERY subtextually bisexual before in 'blonde' though, and that was a film so he knew the whole script before signing on. so he can't be that homophobic, if he knowingly played a character who was strongly hinted at as bi for the whole film. plus, jensen has spoken very fondly of charlie, a gay character.
+Nora Johansson I doubt he's homophobic. I think it's just that he has this mindset about Dean (I think he even mentioned it a few times) and it doesn't fit in there for him and so he's probably mostly weirded out by the fact that so many people ship it so hard even though he doesn't intend to play Dean like that. From everything I've heard from Jensen on this it sounds to me he's more uncomfortable because he probably knows there's a lot of attention on this point of the show and he sees the story in a different way and he knows it's a thin ice and anything he says about it will be scrutinized, not because of his personal believes.
This song was (or still is) mostly played at gay clubs. So my first intention was not "Relax", it was "really? That song for this two?" But I liked it 😁
My goodness, I love these two so much.!They shouldn't have to be put in these awkward situations in the first place.. Thank goodness for Mish coming to poor Jensen's rescue.. Why is no one commenting on how freaking cute Misha looked when he put that hat on.? 🥰
I ship them as brothers. With Misha being the eldest and very understanding brother. Jensen being the slightly awkward middle brother and Jared being the the somewhat sensitive little brother
What Jensen speaks about at the start of the panel in first video. Trust and comfort with Misha. He seems to have cracked his first real smile after Misha came on stage. Or he looked totally lost.
Oh Lord I think Jensen thought his time had come when Misha came on stage, grabbed his face and seemed to be aiming for his lips. Then Misha wickedly kisses him on the cheek. Jensen's so shy and nervous at that point, he looks down and scratches his bottom lip, then pats his hair in place. Poor Jensen, Misha's the devil I tell ya. LOL!
And I don't think they're having an affair mind you but you seem to. Just to be clear. And I do ship them, just in theory not real life. I hate how people ignore the fact they both have wives and children.
@@KindaKaylaHQ Well Jensen was clearly very uncomfortable here and that's Why Misha came on stage because he saw Jensen was pissed and wanted to support his friend Also I'm sure Danneels sister had been in an accident so Jensen wasn't in a good place to begin with.
I can't remember which one, but at one of the jibcon panels after this (either his solo or the Jensen misha one in 2015 or 2016) he sort of apologises for saying the thing about deancas and says like all interpretations are welcomed
+Natsumi-chan it was jibcon 2015, either at the cockles panel or one of jensen's solo panels (he had two bc Jared was not there) and there are videos of those on this channel I think and others, but if it helps Jensen says at pretty much every con nowadays that he loves the creativity in fandom and that all interpretations of the show are valid.
i keep watching this whenever i'm anxious about whatever is about to happen.. for example i'm stressing about a short practical exam in a few hours but i know i have to cover my emotions
I am so glad that Misha was there that day to support Jensen he is obviously an amazing friend to him but you could clearly see they were both very uncomfortable and they should never have been put in that kind of situation. It's just really sad that so called fans think it's ok to put them in that position in the first place.
i love how people in the comments are saying they feel bad for him but the fans who get to meet him dont care if he’s comfortable or not. (and im not blaming EVERYBODY just some specific ones)
+Naomi Star child OMG a young actor getting paid to hang around hot strippers……yeah we all should feel so sorry for him. Really? does the fanbase even know how dumb they sound.
Not everyone is excited about being around strippers. Given Jensen's admission that he is a Christian, I understand his reaction. Also, given the stereotypes about strippers, I also get why he reacted that way, at 22 years of age.
5:25 Jensen feeling a bit what he was saying about pranking Misha on set because they feel comfortable with him. He just had to say that because it was happening right then. He was very comfortable with Misha!
This panel is hard to watch. Jensen was really uncomfortable and the people keep laughing. He uses sarcasm and play angry for humor but in this case he was pissed, you can see it on his face. Jensen is very transparent, but people think he is always joking, here he is not.
Maybe it's a cultural thing, but I do not understand the JIBCON audiences and the expectations they have of the Supernatural cast to do the forced silly props. Jensen is not shy or reserved, he has self respect. If anything Misha came out to help keep his frustration from turning to a rudeness towards Daniella that he could not have forgiven himself for. If they want to leave those toys out on stage for them to pick up and goof around with as they choose, fine.
Why is everyone feeling sorry for them? They're supposed to pretend to be uncomfortable because if anyone has seen Hitch, that's how this scene plays out in the movie. Come on, people.
Well I know that they were uncomfortable but they weren't like painfully humiliated. Yes, it was weird and a sucky for them to be pressured to a skit that they were uncomfortable with but they handled the situation really well and I don't understand why everyone is acting like they're all hurt. It was uncomfortable but they moved on from it.
Exactly, they shouldn't have been put in that situation but people were making a bigger deal out of it than it should have been. I was just saying that it was over and done with. I was more proud that they handled the situation so well rather than sorry for them.
I felt like Misha was uncomfortable because of Jensen's discomfort. Because Misha does stuff like that all the time. But to each his own and such. My only thing was that it was the ONLY thing that people in the comments section were talking about as if the entire panel was uncomfortable when it wasn't.
Yeah I get that. It was more a comment out of frustration. I love reading the fans accounts of something they thought was the funniest but when I looked at the comments all of them were about that one moment. It just seemed a bit blown out of proportion, is all.
@@nichellerae8170 Just because Misha always seems to be happy go lucky and put a happy face on things doesn't mean he doesn't get uncomfortable especially since he's said himself in interviews he does but he tries to hide it
I feel so sad for Jensen... He looked so uncomfortable and frustrated... I just felt liked crying.... It's sad to see someone you know( you know what I mean) getting uncomfortable like that.
