Recently I took a trip to Jibhi, so thought of sharing my travel experiences. Kindly let me know if I have missed anything or if you need any other information.
About Jibhi:
Jibhi in Himachal Pradesh is a tiny, unassuming village, sitting at the foothills of the Himalayas. The old mountain community is settled on the banks of the Tirthan River, a tributary of the Beas. The Valley is located off the Banjar town in Kullu district, on the Shimla-Manali route.
It is also considered part of the greater Tirthan Valley, famous among backpackers, hikers, trekkers, travelers, and tourists alike. Jibhi makes for an essential stop on the road to Manali from Shimla and serves as a base for trekkers en route to nearby places.
The local culture of Jibhi is what attracts most people to this place. Jibhi’s culture is a blend of old colonial charm and local folk traditions, still found in Victorian-style cottages and the native-style stone and wooden cottages and huts.
How to Reach :
My origin point was Delhi, I booked a bus from Delhi which goes to Manali. You can find several
bus options in MMT or Redbus, You need to book the bus till Aut (there’s a tunnel in route to Manali), you can get down near Aut tunnel or Aut market and from there you will find private taxis which you can book in around ~1500 - 2000 rs. Alternatively, you can also find shared cabs and buses to Banjar and from Banjar, you need to change the bus.
