We have what appears to be a Chinese (domestic) version of Woobo. I've already reset and even though it will connect to Wifi and download updates it will not link with the iOS app, claiming the challenge code is invalid or expired. Both iPhone and Woobo are on the same wifi. Any ideas?

Is there any other way to authenticate? Also, it's highly possible that the iPhone needs to be on 2.4 GHz band rather than the 5 GHz band. iPhone will always connect to the 5 GHz and most robots connect to 2.4 GHz. If they are on different bands, they aren't actually on the same WiFi. If you can turn off the 5 GHz band, iPhone will be forced to connect to 2.4 GHz one.

@@Miraenda Yes, they are on the same dedicated 2.4GHz wifi that I use for all of my household related devices. I managed to boot the unit into a developer menu where I am shown the downloaded update cannot be applied. I wouldn't know how to else to authenticate mind you.

Kind of sucks that it's pricey and then you have to buy most of the apps.

I haven't purchased any apps and have found Woobo has a lot of stuff that's included with her by default, including updates that add more content without any extra cost. She certainly does more than most the other robots/toy robots that I have and is more like a social robot than any other devices besides Jibo, who cost a lot more than she did. She has a touch screen that's a really high resolution. Given how much tech she has on her, the price is actually reasonable.

Oh, I also wanted to mention that Amazon even has the purple and the green Woobos (not the pink, though) on sale for $139 with a coupon that's clipped. Normally, she's $199. I had to pay $199 for her, so I wish I'd gotten her that cheaply.
