He had a song pllllllayed OUT on thr radio (Classic Man). A lot of his music is too "real" or not basic enough for the radio... Same reason that Kendrick, J. Cole, Big Sean, and other similar (ACTUALLY GOOD) artist dont get radio play. To get on the radio you need a good beat, a catchy hook, some basic ass lyrics that dont really say anything, and the secret ingredient... A label that is PAYING the radio stations to play your shit. Essentially the radio is just commercial for the labels paying them so that people hear the music and hopefully listen to it on Spotify, iTunes, etc where said labels then recoup their investment money in the form of payments from the streaming music platforms. Thats why most radio stations play the same 12 songs on endless loop... If it was the old days the djs would just play whatever THEY liked but its all about money now and if you wanna find good music like this, you have to put in the work and find it yourself.
