You're right, but if you're a panafricanist then you could look at it as "Enugu in Africa", eliminating colonial borders in the process which the Europeans forced on us. Can you imagine how Nigerians living on the border with Cameroon 300 years ago when it's was land without a country named after it.
I find this African vs African American thing disheartening being African american or american whatever for me I don't know my ethnic heritage like most black Americans. I love to see people who know who they are and embrace it. I pray to learn where my heritage begins so I can know who I am. I pray one day African and African Americans can get over the stigmas that was created so we can stay apart. when its all said and done I know my blood trace back to her mother Africa
Unfortunately during slavery, black people were taught to hate themselves and each other. So many decades later the hatred has been passed down from generation to generation. If we all came together we could do big things but instead we continue to tear each other down.
You'll find where you're from by God's grace, most likely areas you've been drawn to all along. lol It's not all in your mind at all, you're speaking reality.
jidenna , Akon , blackson this are ways brothers should re-establish the original order . Africa is coming back for the number 1 spot . The world rapped and stole from her but she is strong and her spirit unequivocal . LOVE TO ALL MY KINGS AND QUEENS .
I grew up in Mama Afrika, Cameroon & Kenya and visited Nigeria on numerous occasions, along with most of Africa. It's been my home for 12 years and continues to be, in my heart. Watching the streets gave me a vivid imagination of exactly how It felt like being there. Incredibly refreshing. Also, I think Jidenna should ask me out on a date, somebody tell him.
I wish I could visit Africa. First chance I get, you better believe I'm on a flight to Africa. I want to do a DNA test with Ancestry to find out where my ancestors come from, then to Africa it is.
Jidenna: You guys are now my family. Crowd: Sure!. Me: Nice one crowd. music unites us. abi una dey think family as in blood? relax! that is impossible.
When you grow up around family with an ethnic that speaks English with an accent, you catch-on to that accent. So you speak it when you are around that specific ethnic group
2 things. 1 Americans didn't steal from the Africans. They traded with the Europeans who both traded and stole from the Africans. Americans were too busy stealing from Latin America. 2. Africa IS poverty stricken but that's because of war and famine. Africa is an incredibly resource rich continent. If it wasn't for war, disease, and famine Africa as a whole would be much better off than a lot of places. Granted these wars were caused by Europeans when they rewrote the borders in Africa without taking into account tribes and cultures but it can't be entirely blamed on them. Given that these tribes were warring already a lot of the time anyways. Europe just made it a lot worse.
. You don't know what you are saying who told you that Africa are not poverty. Let me tell you the main root of poverty is from Africa just because of there leaders are greedy and very wicked and heartless leaders who only care for themselves and forget the poor and that's why you see poverty everywhere in Africa.
What's wrong with the igbo accent? We really have problems. Have you seen as Italian, french or russian ashamed of thier accent? We are our worst enemy walahi
