I went there. I was there the year they got them up until this year. It’s because they haven’t. The school doesn’t even have a drum key. But the kid who played the solo is hilarious!
Overall for a middle school this is put together pretty well. The tenors tuning sounds fine for middle school. However I would get mizzles for tenor sticks. They define the sound more. The current mallets y'all seem to have muffle the sound
I find it odd yet fascinating that grades under High School have the privilege to do drumlines. My Middle School used to have one but stopped a while back due to the majority of the people going into High School not being prepared.
not tryna be rude but do u rlly need to know that a girl can do it before u can? be a leader not a follower. when drum line first started at my school i was the first girl to sign up and now there’s like 4 girls, they were unsure to join but now they’re confident, it feels good to inspire ppl.
This is very cool! Ur lucky that u have 3 quad players and lots of snare and bass drum players My school only has 1 quad player, 8 snares, and 5 basses lol
Please do not hate on them, they all learned by themselves and the band directors did not teach them. They asked the band director if they could do this and he said sure. Also, this is their 4th time playing it so its not going to be perfect. I know this because you can see that I am in this.
@@IanChatterton2908 Im actually not in that video since it was a few years ago. But I play the drums that the guy with the brown hair and sunglasses plays.
The only bass drummer I see playing is the one on bass 4 but he's not playing the girl on bass 3 is just watching the snares and tenors and getting distracted and occasionally playing and the guy on bass 1 isn't even trying to play and the girl on bass 2 is just looking at the football player running across the field
Not gonna lie videos like these inspired me to start playing the tenors I my middle school drum line P.S. I live in Texas so they care for music enough the have a full band with a drum line
Damn, at my high school, jig 2 was banned. Apparently, it was overplayed in years past and no one really liked it. One of our drum majors was even banned from touching a tenor because he tried to play jig 2.
najpiekniejsze jest to, ze dzieki temu widac jak rozni od siebie jestesmy, ktoś jest dobry w sporcie, ktoś potrafi grać na instrumencie ale dzieki temu tworzymy calosc, cudo
My school, coconut palm k-8 academy btw I’m in sixth grade, my teacher always plays this and teaches us the snare part because first row is snare, second row is tom Tom, third row is cymbals and base drums, the first row, which I’m in, the snares, we preactice at home but there’s also a afterschool program thing called guitars over guns and they help you learn more, but cut to the chase, I’m still learning to do the snare part it’s really hard to do..

One thing this is just my opinion you kinda made a weird line up with 4 snares and three quads I would make it 5 snares and 2 quads but because there’s not that many people it’s fine anyway
funny story my middle school did this and I was on tenors and one time On the solo in a parade I pushed the stick too hard to try to make it in time and clean and the stick just flew out of my hand and almost hit someone
Yeah pretty good I’d say work on sustaining a faster tempo because jig 2 is normally a faster roll beat. Also some more snare would be nice! Great job!
We semi how to drum line in my middle school but it was only for Christmas parade and an Orlando thingy so it wasn’t really official except for those times like we went up to Orlando to perform at Universal in middle school and we did a Christmas present those are the only two times really but we practiced a whole lot more like we were going to go to a football game
