For the first time, I witnessed SJ Suriyah getting overshadowed by another actor, which is not just a display of KS’s amazing writing, but also a corroboration for how talented Lawrence is. He absolutely nailed it.

No words to express the film.This is cinema.Its not easy to make a sequel to a cult film , and delivering the sequel which makes us to think that it's wonderful than the first film is something extraordinary. Feeling relieved after so many multistarrer , cameo and scream engine movies. Hats off to the crew.

Honestly, I love Jigarthanda DoubleX more than Part 1.

Whatta brilliant masterpiece! First time I felt heavy after a movie, sat in my seat for few minutes to gather my self after the title card end, Even I couldn't talk for few minutes, I felt something stuck in my throat, Ive lost words.... I was so involved in the movie from the first scene.. The best movie in 2023 and in most recent time... ❤

Lawrence is kind of an SJS himself. A successful director getting lost for a brief moment in bad movies. Except SJS had wonderful scripts and wild talent to comeback strongly. Hopefully Lawrence will collaborate with good directors from now on cause he has a lot of underutilised acting talent in him

KS’s dedication to cinema is pure. As the dialogue in the movie this was his fucking best shot ever.. When Sana’s Jigar theme plays at end yup this is cinema ❤

Loved the movie, didn't expect it to be political messaging using cinema till end.. Surya, Lawrence & Naveen Chandra killed it in acting ❤, BGM is best I heard recently.. Karthik subbaraj once again proved how deeply he can create characters & have interplay with them.. I felt lengthy, may be KS needed it to tell story in his way & I'm happy to overlook it 😅 was completely worth it..🎉❤

Totally silenced and awe struck after watching jigarthanda double X ! Been craving for such a theatrical experience , probably experienced it last in Vikram and Pushpa (level of intensity and canvas). In terms of emotions and writing , KS nails it in double X, definitely his very best work till date. Raghava Lawrence gets a lifetime settlement role and delivers a top notch performance. SaNa elevates the scenes with his rousing BGM and I simply loved the peak moments where scores of Jigar 1 intersperses with double X , total goosebumps both, in terms of placement and reverence. The biggest win for me in terms of writing is , how KS sticks to the same core/mood/spirit of Jigar 1, but stretches it across a wider landscape/canvas and deploys it for a much higher purpose. He elevates the jigarthanda franchise to monster levels with double X and romances the art/cinema he loves with the purest of film making. While first half might come across as a stretch, it definitely felt organic and sets up high expectations for second half. Overall, Jigardthanda double X, where the he'art' and craft doubles !

He says that he has got inspired from World Movies but he'll never copy a shot too .. That's the respect he has for other film directors who inspired him .. I'm giving 5 stars because that's the max I can give, I would like to give 100 stars for the movie. Karthik subburaj sir, I would like to give you a standing ovation and a big hug, this is in fact your best padam so far, and with this movie you become immortal!!!! Jigarthanda 1 felt a brilliant fun movie. But this movie is a wonderful socio-political-western-pandya film that every aspiring young director, writer should learn from you. What craft, what story about nature and humans and political power play behind a simple thing called Cinema. I watched on first-day evening show in Mumbai, the theatre was just semi-full but I can tell you everyone gave you a standing ovation at the end of this film and the whistles and claps were all for you. SJ Suryah sir, you're an Acting Asuran and in this movie, you put a benchmark above all. This past few years you proved acting wise there is no one who can do what you do on screen, pls give us your entertainment, we come to movie hoping you would not disappoint us, even the entire movie was a bore. But here the movie was one of the best I watched in this year, probably my entire life. Raghav Lawrence sir, this is one of your best movies. you're a terrific actor if the director does the job, right. kudos to Karthig sir again. SANA sir, your music was so fab after a very long time, last time I felt this impressive of your music was in Sarpatta and yet again you gave your best for Karthik. DOP was fab when client Eastwood comes, the jungle, the era of 1975... KArthik you know the craft likne no one do. I'm going to book tickets for your next movie... please dont disappoint me. Karthik sir again you tell everyone why cinema needs to be made, why humans should love nature and again a simply big WHY TO ALL OUR POLITICIANS? and to you WHY Karhtik SIR> This movie gave me so many emotional, angry, social, and elucidating thoughts. As usual I'am watching your review, after watching the movie on Netflix. Oh my word I was completely blown away. What a movie! How can anyone think of a storyline such as this I wonder. I loved the way Clint Eastwood was brought into this movie. Both S.J Suriya and Raghava Lawrence competed with each other in giving their best performances.

Jigarthanda double X is more political compared to its prequel and Karthik Subbaraj's most powerfully told commercial film with the blend of art along with pointing social issues. I felt awe while watching, How he managed the meter or art & commerce in perfect line without any fluctuations. Honestly Brilliant attempt👏🏻🔥

Raghava lawrence has always averted anything that isn't a commercial commercial potboiler in his whole filmography. Maybe, the recognition and celebration he gets for this performance and being a part of pure cinema likr this, would possibly give him an Assault Sethu-ish realization and open his eyes about the true potential of cinema and his potential as an artist. We can only hope.

Jigar Thanda Double X film is one of the finest greatest film of Indian film industry. And It's one of the Royal Salute film of Tamil film industry. Much watch in Theatres. It's a theatre experience film. In OTT you will not get that much impact. Great Salute to Director Karthik Subbaraj, Music Director Santhosh Narayan, Lawrence Master, SJ Surya Ji, and All small small actors to Main lead actors have done Justice to the film. Don't see any review just go and watch in Theatres your opinion matters. You will have a great experience of the film. Planning to watch second time. Jigardhanda 1 is such a wonderfully written...unadulterated film. The film did not have any agenda...the story blissfully uncovers itself for us to savour it sequence by sequence. But here , I knew what was coming and the film is too good technically and it follows the screenplay Bible but still it was too perfect for me not like it so much.

*part 1 was the best..part 2 is boring..it is a weak story with tons of plot holes. no clarity at all.just because they gave social message that doesn't mean its a masterpiece..I am shocked by all the positive reviews*

A minority here but found it overwrought with ham fisted metaphors, repetitive messaging, done to death slo mo and indulgent stretches just to look cool and cinematic. KS best are when he just makes genre movies.

Din work for me. The high i got in the Movie was the Sequence where Lorense investigate who killed his Gang Partner . (Gate ah muudra scene to Interval Block Sequence.) And, The establishing shot of Lorwnce where he kills a Fan by Film Reels. The Tribal Part was a tedious Task to watch. The Police, Tribal Abuses, all these are alredy shown in many films and Karthik had nothing different to showcase in those areas which drove me away from Movie.
