The Whitefish were RUNNING! Here in Michigan the Lake Whitefish in Lake Michigan crash the piers every late fall as they look to move into their spawning grounds. This year I made my first ever trip to try to catch some of these DELICIOUS fish for my yearly family fish fry. I was rewarded with some truly awesome footage of these amazing fish, the friendly community that fishes for them, and some bonus footage of some fellow anglers landing a monster carp! Losing the anti-reverse on the reel is no good. Just happened to me Striper fishing too. I was like wth 😂. Nice video and way to stick with it. They look like a great fighting fish. Glad u were able to get the one to take with you 1st night. Cold pizza 🍕👊. Good thinking on holding that guy netting the Carp👍. That thing was huge!!!! Did they get a weight on it? Nice one you got on day 2. Great video brother!!!

Thanks for all the love Bogoly! The anti reverse bearing ended getting a little too much oil when I last cleaned my reel and was an easy fix once I wasn't out in the snow and rain😄😄! Those Stripers look like awesome fighting fish too, one of the few game fish we don't have here in the great lakes! The carp was too big for any of our scales to weigh hahaha it kept registering errors😂😂😂! Which means it was most likely over 55 and would have been a state record if he hadn't accidently snagged it😟! I'm just glad they were able to land it safely! Day 2 was definitely a challenge but worth it for that fatty! I appreciate the view and the comment! If you liked this one just wait for all the fish my partner and I land in part 2 😄😂😃 haha! P.S I enjoy your videos as well brother! Tight lines!

White fish good eating fish even better smoked. One of the best eating fish in the great lakes.

Come down to St Joseph Michigan you will catch big carp and sheepshead that size. Close to 10 lbs sheepshead.

I'm with you when you checked the fish you cought for were it was hooked because someone else could have hooked the fish prior to you and foul hooked it and throw it back and if the department of natural resources check your fish and see a wound anywhere besides it's mouth possession is nine-tenths of the law and you are holding that fish. I always through back fish I'm not sure were they were hooked. Just because of that fact.

You're not wrong brother, unfortunately not everyone can be responsible and the DNR doesn't catch everybody. I think sometimes having your own moral compass and trying to set an example for others is the best way to keep the populations alive and healthy!
