Hey again ! ;p Can you tell me one thing, because I`ve heard about 2 ways in casting and which way is it proper. To cast and wait until the lure will reach the bottom and then close the reel or to cast and close the reel in the same moment when lure is touching the water ?
Actually both are used. When there is no wind most of the time I will keep the bail open and let jig fall all the way to bottom. If there is wind I would cast and close the bail, but then open and control jig fall by slowly giving the line so I don’t have large line sail from the wind.
But if you are casting into the action on feeding frenzy, I would close the bail straight after cast, as I might get bite while jig is falling, so you have to decide according to situation
+jmcastillol depending on what I want to catch, but usually I carry two rods, 1. Favorite shooter 15-35g 2.8m or Neo breeze 15-45g 2.7m paired with Shimano Biomaster 4000 and 1.5 PE x8 Braid and light rod Favorite Skyline 2.4m 6-21g with Shimano Stradic 2500 with 0.8 or 1 PE x8 braid
