Sridevi starer gumraah movie 1993, alia's mother soni ji also had the same role where she was concerned for her brother in the jail. Idea has been taken from gumraah movie i guess. Gumraah was also set in thailand
People hate on Alia Bhatt for working on good scripts and impactful roles. Who's gonna tell them she won't sign a bad film just to satisfy their little egos. Her job is to act, do justice and be convincing in her films which she does effortlessly and that is why she is one of very few actresses who can get both critical acclaim and box office success

I liked the "Jigra" trailer; it really gives off thriller vibes like a Korean series. However, Vedang Raina looks totally miscast-he doesn't appear vulnerable at all and comes off as a typical rich, privileged boy. An outsider would have been a better choice. In this film, he seems more like the character from MTV or "Gumraah," and it feels like he hasn't captured any of the emotions.

I liked the trailer but I laughed at that over dramatic scene when Alia was asking for rules and had a knife in hand, that scene of lil too much. Otherwise it was a good trailer ❤
Trailer looks decent but teaser due to song 🎵looks gr8❤ But overall typical story hogi isi saal saavi jaise flop film 😂 aayi uska concept bhi same tha & also looks a lot similar to sanjay dutt's Gumrah(1993), Alia also looks decent not that much superb 😮dont like we see ranbir in animal hope film delivers overall trailer is good cutted not much revealing the story

Alia is not that great actor as projected by Karan Johar (kwk s7). She is getting good scripts and that's all. If Taapsee or Kriti had that kind of support then they can also achieve the kind of fame alia has.
Thanks to Soni Raazdan her mom who ensured since her debut that she says yes to good scripts only and thus establish herself as an actor and not a star like other nepo babies.
What a stupid comment. Good script requires good acting otherwise whole script will fall down, It goes simultaneously and she is a tremendous actor and she has proved this time to time like Highway, Udta Punjab, Gangubhai etc. Tapsee and Kriti are good but I still think, Alia is way ahead of them.
good scripts can fall apart if not for great acting. Seriously, watch the scene from Gully Boy where Murad breaks up with her on a phone call or the phone call scene from Gangubai.

Somehow not shocked that you liked the trailer..whether the character suits the artist or not who cares..Alia dsnt even look relatable doing the stuff she is shown doing..i mean the personality dsnt go with the role! I cant imagine Robert Pattinson playing the The Hulk..holding sm resident evil kinda gun n running around..but not only u praised the trailer but each n every facet of the trailer, dint even spare the BGM..song..cmon Man! Dint expect this.. Alia is a good actor but not everyone can play every kinda role and thats what i felt watching the trailer..

problem is writing ...there is some trendy prototype of hero/ heroine that is angry , some what psycho and destructive and who is going to wreck havoc on enemies ..imported from south , is now being adopted by Bollywood ..I am finding same features in alia bhatt's character ..
