What the Gabra call D'abeela or Dabaalo as Borana say is a ceremony, if you translate the word ceremony in Somali language its a 'Dabaal deg' meaning the Dabaal occurrence we didnt know what Dabaal stood for, but now thanks to our Gabra and Borana Brothers who preserve some of our culture.
Wow, This are pure blood cushites, I can see exactly the same pattern with all Cushitic culture, prouing milk the back of the sheep and putting the ritual stics and blessing al the animals with the blood, as a cushitic male I couln't see my ancestors culture, but I watch only on youtube, beautifull and great people and wonderfull culture.
These people are from odhola clan. Adolla are Garre clan.this same adolla are in Gabra miigo and Rendille too. All the sub clan he mentioned are all adolla clan of Garre like Tubadi, kalmasa, kaalwin(keynan) bursuna, Banna are known in Gabra as Jiruwa. Darawa are Adotile..kiliya are known in Gabra as magaale.then we have the meeylan who are known in Garre as medh(dead) Subuktire/Erwede are both in Gare and Gabra too.so too are the doliyo and many more. Sooriyo during the month of sonder(shaaban)is still performed by gare in Ethiopia too. The Gare who are in rural area still do their wedding ceremony in the month of sonder. The soriyo ritual is identical to biblical Passover ceremony
Gabra and Garre are pure dir clans. they are great warriors. they settle in Kenya and Ethiopia. jn the last battle between the Oromo and Garre in Moyaale, Gabra and Garre were fighting side by side against the Oromo and they support each other. 12 towns and villages were captured from Garre and Gabra by the oromo with the help of the Oromia Liyuu Police. but after they got support from garre and gabra communities in kenya and somalia they recaptured all land within days. in terms of the language, they have lost it because the settled in the center of the Oromo for centuries and that is fair enough and yet they stick to their Somali identity.
Thanks Gumato Not all Gabras are muslims infact majority are catholics/christians but there are those who still stongly belive it the traditional system like in this particular documentary
Keynaan is a Garre clan.he was born early in the morning, that's why he is called keynaan.this people are Gabra miigo who got divided from Garre in Ethiopia during the war of daga weyna and shimbira kure under the leadership of Aba gurey
@@sayidadam9794 As a jarso myself I I’m telling u we are originally somali 100% we came from the dir clan but we assimilated with the Oromo but we are originally somali

Cutting of already sparse bushes / trees by thousands of families at frequent times is not sustainable. Soon there will be no trees to cut in that dry environment
@@halimaahmed666 No im not Gabra. To answer your question Gabra are a mixture of Muslim and ancient Oromo religion Waaqafenna (Amanti). But in Oromo we don't care what religion you are the only thing that matters is Oromuma (preserving our culture) and Tokkuma (unity).
@@halimaahmed666 oh I missed the part where he said they were Christian, and of course they will be too. I've been studying everything Oromo recently and I found out our ancient gods are 12,000yrs old (read tsegaye gebremedin Irreecha poem) and also our ancient calendar for religious/ seasonal purposes is 6414yrs we celebrate new year in September. In a way, I want to say that Oromos can be the ancestors of "Cushitic" people since the first cushites come from Ethiopian highlands. There was a lot of migrations that happened. Our language is similar, so our culture and the way we look. So im just going to say we are people with a common Origin.
@@ethiopia6668 You are the one who claiming other people because these people are speaking pure somali with little bit mixture of another language and you can see some islamic and preislamic traditional rituals previously practiced in Somali culture.
