I'm57. My generation growing up knew that sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. And when you lose, you take the loss and try better next time. I think the problem started with the "everyone gets a trophy" generation. Years ago my nephew was on a baseball team. The kids were around 9 or 10 years old. He had a game in the morning and it was the last day of the season and all of the teams were at the field. He came home and said they lost and were the team in last place. I told him as long as you guys tried your best, thats what matters, next year will be here before you know it. And he had a trophy in his hand. I said, "I thought you said you guys finished last, whats the trophy for?" He said, "They gave everyone a trophy for playing." And I believe that right there is the beast we are dealing with today. People will destroy your job, your life because they didn't get the result they wanted,whatever the scenario may be. They didn't get a trophy.
