Ya know, I wouldn’t have said that normally, but I’ve been on these for a little bit, and I think your right , holy crap can he tell a story, the one thing I’m takin from him is adding way more sound affects to stories, I don’t know if it’s just cause it’s radio or if it’s just makes it that much funnier. Anthony doesn't understand that comics don't get philosophy or history beyond the cliches. Ant is absolutely correct in the fact that armed personnel of nearly any description are a significant factor in any tactical scenario. Jim sounds like one of those guys who never cared about anything political and thought of it as stupid, then he has kids and instantly decided it's perfectly rational that everything needs to be designed for people as stupid and irresponsible as his family members. The way you govern your degenerate experiments in your own house, and the ideal way a hierarchy of responsible people should govern a group of 300something million people are completely different sets of rules and moral codes.
jum breuer is right about a lot but is very wrong about the armed populace idea where it isn't a deterrent for the government to inflict its will. I'd like him try to explain how 30k or so fighters in the Afghanistan mountains have been able to ward off the US military for almost a decade now and 300 million guns in the USA would have 0 affect...

One time I fucked up real bad ( in 8th grade) and when I got home there was literally nothing but a room, a bed a desk. books, some clothes ( all the cool shirts and jeans GONE!) and homework supplies...... even the posters had been ripped from the walls. stereo TV video game system even the old CB GONE! That taught me - 1 dont get caught and 2 everything you see as an adult and can afford BUY IT! Breuer is a fantastic talent. But I feel like his political stances have spun around a little, or, at the very least, are no longer internally consistent -- "gun nuts who say our govt is taking over are stupid" (2013) -- "they want us to stand up and perform like seals" (2021). Don't get me wrong, I think both are hilarious, but they don't wash.
The gun discussion: Ant is too passionate about it, and Breuer is playing devils advocate. I'm no gun owner but, the 2nd amendment states we have the right. The purpose? So that everyone that would consider being a criminal against some innocent person, would think twice knowing that said innocent person may have weapons to defend himself. It's in the interest of deterring. Not so that folks walk thru streets with guns.

The Jim-Dee relationship is very complex. (By that logic, I guess all marriages are "complex.") Slowly, over the span of years, she has gotten him to swear off smoking and (most) drinking, she has purged vulgar words from his vocabulary, and recently he seems to have bought into the "born again" mantle, judging from his autobio-book. I don't think he's totally lost his edge, but Old Breuer was much funnier.
Love Breuer but his gun stance was so awful, ignorant and uneducated… but then does an about face and said he was so comfortable when the dude had one in his house 😂 and of course, all of these would be better as Nopie shows 😂
Breuer is definitely a funny dude. But him going on that political rant was pretty cringy. He obviously knows nothing about history. The very valid point Ant was making, Jim couldn't even wrap his head around it. Another thing was that dumb "THEY HAD WIGS AND MUSKETS!" point. That shit has already been debunked soooo hard. Then he continues the rant about machine guns but doesn't even know the current gun laws. It's always these people that don't know what they're even saying.
It doesnt matter about the details. It's just plain STUPID to sell deadly Automatic or semi-automatic guns to the public. The rest of the world just shakes it's head in disbelief that their should even be 'a debate' about wether people should be able to purchase these things. Surely one day you'll see that this was ALWAYS MADNESS to even consider this.

Germany gets rid of guns and the Holocaust happened, Venezuela gets rid of guns for the same reason of "the betterment of the people" they get systematically killed off. You realize guns are one tool that many Americans died for for us to have the right to own yeah? It’s usually people who like Jim are not mature enough to own firearms or that are scared of them that want nobody to own them
