I'm pretty sure that today, Jim Brown feels very different about his stance towards MLK's activities versus a time when he was Kaepernick's age. It's telling that effective, engaged, and influential activists such as Jim Brown and Ray Lewis have spoken out about Kaepernick's methods. At the end of the day, if you really care about a cause, you're going to go about your business in such a way as to actually make a difference. This is the message from Brown and Lewis. Kaepernick's protests haven't reached or changed anyone who didn't already share his stance -quite the opposite. That's not a good way to forward his cause -any cause.

It took all of a few minutes and they protested, quietly. I remember praying for a few minutes for the 9-11 victims at work. It was during company time. What is the big deal? The anthem is simply a way to market the game and no one wants to hear the anthem, any who, except when people protest it, especially African Americans.
