I saw Jim in a old nterview with prejudice governor Maddox. Joe was polite, calm, and respectful. There is a long history of making someone look bad when they are good.
I remember Jim Brown situation with his girlfriend in 1968, I still liked him as a sports hero. I do not remember the total details of the act happen in 1968.
It is true that most-not all-of the charges against him were either dropped or he was found not guilty in court. The reason they were dropped is because the women he beat up later refused to cooperate with authorities and/or changed their stories. One wonders if they were threatened and/or paid off. I DO know one thing: Totally innocent people do NOT get arrested for violence, or get put under investigation for violence, for nothing. Yes, it occasionally happens where someone totally innocent is arrested. But not multiple times, I just CANNOT buy it. I have never understood why some men batter women. To me, it is the easiest thing to do to NOT hit someone.

@MacroX1231 NO, I am using simple mathematics. The SAME person charged time after time and totally innocent each time? It is theoretically possible, but so very unlikely that it is just beyond all reason. "Innocent until proven guilty" may be the legal standard in individual cases, but that does not require ordinary people to abandon all common sense when viewing them in their totality.
Who's here after Jim Brown passed away and how many people are going to actually bring up his shady past to say the least? What I hear from his comments is that he's not really commenting on them. He's trying to just play word salad in order to get away from what he truly did come on. I had a friend that was accused of assault and gay-bashing (in the same incident). The accuser was later proven to be a fraud, but the case actually made it into the media so as a result it still has an effect on my friend today. So I understand and am sensitive to the idea of false accusations. But this is 3 assault charges, a rape charge, a charge of resisting arrest and a charge of vandalism. As the charges pile on and on and on...it becomes less and less likely that this man has been falsely accused each and every time...
Normally I'd call bullshit on Jim Brown but that little tidbit about the FBI being after him makes want to hear out his defense. Still, accusers over multiple decades gets hard to get the benefit of doubt on so I think he should've answered to each one individually.
Regardless of the life: forgiveness in this world is rare. Just look at the life of Mary Magdalene. She was treated like a dog when she was the only one who believed Jesus when He said He was going to die. Mary spent the equivalent of 30 grand to anoint Him with oil fit for a king! And Jesus could still smell that fragrance as He hung on the Cross.

The facts?? To me it sounds like he doesn't want to discuss any of those allegations at all. Wether they were facts or hearsay. This whole segment he's trying to talk his way around addressing any of those allegations and trying to tip toe around the questions. That just makes Jim sound guilty wether he is or not. Just take it head on like a man and it will get behind you a lot faster.
Usually when people start reciting laws and their rights when they are asked in regards to being innocent or guilty on something, they are usually guilty.. but with him I can see them trying to throw charges at him to make him look less credible because he had such an impact
