Bruh, That neighborhood back in 1987 was a rough one to say the least. Even though RFK Stadium is right across the street and the Skins played there it was not a good place to be lost. It's been gentrified like hell since, but the DC Armory was a classic wrestling venue.

I was at this event at the DC Armory. Corny isn’t lying about the neighborhood back then. The event was long Arn wrestled Barry , jim garçon wresting Brad Armstrong., Dusty was there. I can’t remember who he wrestled. The scaffolding was too high. The Army had Silver and blue streamers hanging from the ceiling. You could barely see the warriors and midnight. I have pictures some where.

I love DC Cab so much!!! It warms my heart to see the image, as well as so many comments singing its praises. I'll always remember when I got the DVD, then spend the next two weeks showing it to all of my friends as they came over to the house. By the end, there was a room full of 10-12 of us, all but one having been watching it for days. I will never get tired of it.

I lived in Richmond and used to work at the airport. This is no joke about snow there. That drive from the coliseum to the airport is pretty direct, but horrible in snow.

I'm barely halfway through and I can't stop laughing. Hearing Jim tell stories is priceless

C'mon Jim we need a movie or documentary on your life in wrestling

I live near DC in Virginia and I can relate. I hate going there and can only get there the few times I dare go there by GPS. Maps back when forget it. Between the streets that have different directions on them to mess you up and the dysfunction of the roads themselves I hate it. Then if you do find where you are going there's no parking in a lot of it.

The last time I was in DC I rode the metro...but I had a native with me...I HATE traveling in DC...I hate Reagan Airport, I hate the surface roads, I hate the Metro, I hate walking in DC, it's just a hot, smelly, sweaty, crowded nightmare 🙁

Even if the cabdriver got fired for his stupidity, I still think he probably got off pretty lightly; particularly compared to what could have happened to him, had he both: pressed the issue of the taxi fare, and if the very pissed off Jim Cornette, and the Midnight Express, had time to deal with him properly. If Dennis Condrey had gotten his hands on him, the cabbie could have spent the rest of the night in A&E; contemplating his life choices- as well as all the wrong turns he made trying to get them to the venue, while several doctors attempted to extricate his own CB radio from his anus…
