Hearing Jim talking kindly and saying the name “Bunny” is the gentle side of Jim Cornette that you could take a nap to!

The fact that bad bunny treats this seriously is what makes me far and beyond happy. He could just have put on a mid match for the cash but every time he performs he takes it so seriously.

This backlash overall just felt like an Attitude Era PPV. The simple set, the sold out arena, the monster reaction from the fans, the blood, the sexuality in the preshow with Wade Barrett on the beach (lol)....I think this is the first PLE/PPV in a long time that i can watch over and over again.

The fact that Bad Bunny is a #1 streaming artist in the world willing to put his body on the line for pro wrestling is something he deserves huge credit for

Match stole the show. Crowd was absolutely incredible. I popped huge for Carlito too.

Apparently Jim didn't hear them saying the match was over after Bunny goes thru the table but Priest said he wasn't done 💯

I understand Jim' sentiment. However, I feel like Damien Priest carried this match perfectly. He made it very clear that he could have won early but got overconfident and decided to prolong the match. This allowed Bad Bunny to capitalize on the mistake Damien priest made. While l it was chaotic, the story made sense. I honestly came out of this feeling like Damien priest is world champion material. I know he's a bit older, but I wouldn't mind seeing him have a title run and a year from now.

He actually used a Canadian destroyer as a finisher like it supposed to be and not just a regular maneuver that you do in the middle of the match. Pety Williams is somewhere with a big smile on his face

This match made me a fan of bad bunny. He looked like a star, he looked believable, and he took it serious. Loved it far more than I thought I would!

I was live at the event. Everyone gave Priest a standing ovation after the match. It was magical.

How Damien Priest isn't a Main Eventer I'll never understand. Criminally underrated...hopefully he will get noticed now that the new world title is up for grabs

I was there live. The match was 🔥. I’m not a fan of Bad Bunny’s music but he put on a hell of a performance. He was very respectful to the business. I’m so happy he helped bring this event to PR. Damien Priest is a hell of a worker and deserves a push one day. Carlito and Savio Vega got a huge pop. I lost my voice when they came out.

Bad Bunny is the real deal. True fan, trained hard in the PC and gave everything he had to make this good. His affiliation with WWE has been a home run from a business and wrestling aspect. Backlash broke all sorts of records.

Savio knew how to milk that pop, his stance and stare down was fantastic. His pop was thunderous.

I can feel the match mellowed out good old Corny here a bit. He hates the premise but he still couldn't hate the match. He even stopped making Rabbit puns. That's a big W i think.

There was a “If Priest wins we riot” sign. & because I’m familiar with the history of Puerto Rican wrestling, I believed it lol

The crowd was hyped and I'd love to see WWE do more events in front of the passionate Puerto Ricon people. Their love for wrestling really comes across watching the event on TV.

The way Priest "bullied" him around the ring, having him cowar to a punch; it played really well. It showed Bunny wasn't a wrestler and had to outsmart his opponent because he couldn't beta him in a straight match/fight

It was the most entertaining match of the night, mainly because how great the crowd was

I would say, they treated it properly. Bunny lost within a minute but Priest stopped his own three count. Priest hurt himself.

This match was better than I expected and it’s really nice to see someone like Bad Bunny really take wrestling more serious than some of it’s actual fans. I did have the same worry like Jim that it would make Priest look silly getting beat but I thought they made it work. Especially how Priest stopped the pin count to beat on Bunny more. Priest was never a standout for me until this match and the Judgement Day is a legit stable now with talent.

This match was amazing From beginning to end seeing Savio Vega and Carlito was awesome Backlash was great and some People are saying that Damian Priest was buried he wasn't buried bad Bunny winning was the right move if Vince was still in creative he'd have Bad Bunny Lose continuing the trope of wrestlers losing their hometown.

This had some of the highest, if not the highest, social engagement for any wrestling match or show ever. 10s or millions of views in less than 12 hours. It was reported in mainstream media. Damien Priest and Bad Bunny are both Puerto Rican.

Half the people watching already know BB can’t take Damien Priest and the other half couldn’t care less because they don’t know any better. Jim is part of the few who knows it’s a work and still cares.

I prefer wrestlers bringing weapons to the ring rather than weapons just being underneath the ring. A guy bringing a kendo stick because he knows he'll be allowed to use it makes more sense than someone having placed a kendo stick underneath the ring in case of emergency.

Seeing Carlito in a WWE ring and hearing the pop he got that night from the crowd, brought me completely to tears (I'm a man and I can admit it). It was good to see him again. And I'll remember that moment always.

that entrance though!!! These type of "entertainment" matches are fine when mixed into a card that has more traditional matches. The run-ins were fun. JD and especially Priest didn't lose anything.

Cornette is thinking too deep into this imo. This isn’t the 70’s-80’s. I don’t think casuals or deep fans look at wrestling as some super easy task. Kayfabe is over Jim, it’s okay to have stuff like this. This was literally one the of best matches WWE has had in a while and BB has all the respect for the business

I loved this match. My kids and I really enjoyed it. My 7 yr old and 3 yr old were in the edge of their seats.

Jim is talking about Bunny taking the insane bumps as a musician, but he sells EVERYTHING so well, and better than most of the wrestlers today. It also seems like he understands the psychology in a match.

Bad Bunny had more psychology in his street fight than you would normally see. He had to outsmart Priest, and the whole chopping down the tree bit with Bunny going after the knee was brilliant.

As someone who was there, I felt that the match started to drag after Priest got out of the figure four. Granted, it didn't drag long, but that should have been the finish. It would have been poetic as well because the figure four is HUGE in Puerto Rico because of Carlos Colón (Carlito's father). Him and Flair used to have matches over here in the 80s and do a battle of the figure fours, since it was also Colon's finish. Other than that, it was fun.

There were several points through the match where Bunny was dead and done..but Priest kept dragging him back up. Until he realised he was messing around too much and his backup was run off and he got done in a huge upset.

I think it's high time for Jim to get over his bias towards people outside the business who wrestle. Clearly they care about the craft more and are in better shape than many indie wrestlers today.

This was a fantastic match, the match of the Night, and should have been the Main Event. Once again Bad Bunny proves he has a love and respect for the business that most AEW talent will never have, just like Logan Paul. There was so much great stuff in this match. Bad Bunny held his own and Damien Priest looked great even in defeat. Carlito and Savio Vega with massive pops. WWE needs to give Carlito a new run. The crowd was completely insane for this match and the entire show, we need more crowds like this. Everyone involved should be proud of this match.

BB takes this a lot more serious than most wrestlers these days … So I’ve no issue with him whatsoever..

The LWO at the end, looked more like Los Boricuas than the LWO.

Before watching the video: Let’s see if Jim understands why this match not being the main event was the one single terrible booking call of the night. Update: He doesn’t reference this match’s placement. He probably believes that Cody could’ve followed that.

"Suspend the disbelief" is a saying i absolutely hate, but honestly watch wrestling by. And, besides the Canadian Destroyer as finisher (which is too much), they really were able to make me suspend my disbelief. So it was a really good match in my opinion.

I liked the logic of this match. There was a moment early on where priest could've won, but he was overly confident, and the match continued. Bunny got leverage through weapons, and most importantly, priest's mistakes. Priest injured his foot. Bunny used that to his advantage. Priest didn't go down easily. He didn't tap to figure 4. He finally went out to Puerto Rican destroyer. Priest looked strong and unstoppable. It was great. And as for bad bunny, impressed doesn't begin to describe my feelings. How does he do it? If I'm tony Khan, I'm thinking of quitting now. When a celebrity can out work 99% of your roster, and have a logical, well executed street fight, something that your elite wrestlers can't do, then you're in trouble. Wwe is just on another level of greatness recently. The fact that they can teach celebrities this stuff so quickly, and the fact that the celebrities take it so seriously, and the stories involving them are also very well done...this is just too good. It was a great match. I popped hard when I heard carlito's song. My childhood flashed before my eyes. It was just a great night for wwe.

Jim can be such an old head sometimes. It was a celeb match. Could understand some grievances of this was teo wrestlers. Its not meant to be overly serious, meant to be a bit of fun and you can have fun in wrestling

That street fight was way better than it had any business being. I knew nothing about Bad Bunny, and was initially annoyed by him being in a match, but I could tell he was taking it seriously and putting in work. I enjoyed it for what it was.

Bugs and Logan have earned that spot. While Bugs is noway near Logan in terms of technical and athletic abilities, the immense respect and passion he's shown for the business deserves nothing but praise. Obviously, they still need experienced wrestlers to carry them out through the match, but they're only getting better and better. Seeing Carlito again was super fun. He's a great guy and a really good wrestler imo. I hope he's there to stay.

The way Jim keeps referring to Bad Bunny as Bugs or The Bunny has me rolling.

Bad Bunny is the special breed of celebrity that understands and respects pro wrestling. His involvement is a net benefit to WWE. I think we can suspend our beliefs that he can go toe to toe with Damien because they engaged in a street fight. If Shane can do these, Bad Bunny can.
