Went back and watched this again, without kids interrupting me. During the end where Jake is saying, “If you’re a kid going through this, run. Run like the wind and tell the cops, your pastor (etc),” I was trying really hard not to cry. That was some seriously emotional stuff from he and his siblings. That “It’d be nice to have a sister,” thought was heartbreaking.

@@madamefeast4824 It is good he is in a better place, but yes I am highly dubious-he worked the holier than thou WWF gimmick claiming he was clean while doing every drug known to man for a year or so. They really aren’t that well put together. Gino Hernandez episode is a clear example. Go back and watch that episode and tell me what happened with the uncircumcised Latino body...or how Ginos mom thought something sinister happened with a shady friend for the last 30 years, but one of those shady friends calls and says nobody killed Gino...so she was just OK with it now. They never circled back to that dead body that mom and wife knew wasn’t Gino. Snukas was bad, too. They had an obvious agenda, so it’s easy to see how much was left out. Even this episode on Grizzly. Clearly stuff was left out. I like the setting, and the topics because I’m a wrestling fan....but the info leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of the episodes don’t have much new info that’s not pretty public knowledge. There’s absolutely legitimate complaints with every episode and topic....and some of it is due to laziness and bad investigation/interviewing.

Yes, they all need to be longer....but even the longer ones are lazy. If you are passionate enough about these topics, you can tie the stories up cleaner in 45 minutes than what they have. You can cut out a lot of useless shit in all of them. I find it incredibly hard to believe nobody knew back in the day. The fact that they made jokes like that would show people had some awareness of what was going on.
@TheSoundwave92
@TheSoundwave92 3 года назад
Oh people probably had a good idea but they didn't pry or say it to Grizzly's face because he was a big figure (literally and figuratively) in the territory days and had influence to bury other wrestlers if they spoke out. I also find it hard, VERY HARD, to believe Bill Watts wasn't aware of any of this. I don't buy that shit for a second.

I think it's more they heard things but coming out and saying it when it never came directly from the victims is tough. Although Cornette's defending of Bill Watts constantly is getting tiresome. The guy was openly racist for one thing.

Absolutely people knew! They just couldn't prove it, especially when dealing with a guy so high profiled like Grizzly. He ran his lil town in Texas. I'll never understand how you see a FUCKING CHILD and not want to do everything I'm your power to protect them! How in the entire fuck do u see a child and want to do something sexual to them? LOL I loved that Dahmer hot take. Hearing Jim talking about a local boy (I lived 20 miles from Dahmer) was surreal, as (in)famous as he was. He's also correct for the 3 people who are wondering: Dahmer did in fact work at the Ambrosia chocolate factory while he was killing people and consuming body parts in his apartment on 25th street in midtown Milwaukee. Kept one of their heads in his work locker, in fact. There's some dark side for ya.

@@troublesomewestsideoutlaw5754 Lol well to be fair it wasn't a race thing for Dahmer, he simply chose victims based on how attractive he found them to be. There were blacks, whites, Laotians. But yeah, blacks were the largest group. Milwaukee also has a large African-American population so that might have just made it more likely that he'd find more black victims as a result.

Sam was the 'favorite' because he was his father's 'lure'. Not to minimize the abuse Jake and Robin went through, but how many different kinds of mind fucked does Sam have to be knowing he was the guy who his dad used to help get those girls?! Judging by what we heard from him, he's clearly not ready to deal with that, even now.
