Will osprey after the event said he wanted to make Swerve "look like a champion" Only in aew will the loser of the main event somehow manage to take the spotlight away from the champion by projecting himself as a bigger man. We all know Swerve is just keeping the title warm for Tony's newest action figure, the 7 star specialist, will ostrich.

Ostrich has the type of matches that the AEW fans like, that's all it is. Do a bunch of moves, kickout of everything, no sell most things, go a hundred miles an hour, and go forever. That's what they like.

AEW copies Japans way of dealing with baby faces and heels. In that there are no true good and bad guys. People switch from match to match and sometimes they switch in the match. They switch and then reswitch withing a matter of weeks. Heels are aligned with baby faces in stables and vice versa. A babyface will have a heel manager or the other way around. This works in Japan because they don't have a weekly running TV show and their wrestling ethos is different. Doesn't work in America because wrestling and entertainment go hand in hand and people want concrete good and bad guys and STORIES BRO!

AEW should've have built up Swerve and Will at the same time, so that this would've been a huge, must see match. Instead, they bury their own world champion for weeks just to have him win decisively here in yet another NJPW style match that didn't draw.

I legitimately know 95% of The aew rosters names, but I would only be able to point out about 15% if presented with a lineup, all I know about them is from Jim and Brian.

It was a great match. Great time was had. The storytelling was great. The finish was great. EVERYTHING WAS GREAT PEOPLE!! It's so great that NO ONE will ever go back and watch this match 10 years, yet alone 10 days from now.
