If you wake up fighting for breath, coughing ect that's a good indicator of sleep apnea. You can't not mistake that symptom. I'm sure your ok Sir Jim 👍

Right thing to do Jim, I had a similar problem. Could not breathe, O2 at 90, my Peak Flow 200. Put straight on Cancer watch program. Chest X Ray that day(NHS all of this) Next day called by the Consultant was not cancer my lungs were being crushed by water in my chest. Seems taking away my water tablets caused this, stuck me back on them massive first doses. ( Did I piss for a week) sorted. Look after yourself Jim, everyone make sure have things checked out. I was looked after just as fast again last year when they found blood in my poo. Luckily not cancer again, might be running out of my 9 lives……

I'm 57 and always had colds/flu in the winter. For the previous 3 winters I've had the usual sniffles but also one bad bout each year of chest infection or flu, around Xmas and new year lasting up to a month. Last summer I did loads of research into natural health remedies (partly because I'm not vaccinated and partly because I was fed up of winter illness). Cut a long story short, I've been practicing intermittent fasting and following a keto/carnivore diet cutting out most sugars and carbohydrates, and supplementing with certain vitamins & minerals for the last 4 months or so. I've gone from over 20% bodyfat to less than 15% in that time and I've not been ill this winter (yet). Tbh, I've not felt better in many years. My advice to anyone is eat healthily, get some exercise, lose some weight and get your vitamins (the sunshine vitamin, particularly in winter, imo is a must)....................

Jim, I used to fall asleep during the day I used to fall off chairs, I used to snore like a trooper, my doctor referred me to our local sleep clinic they said after wearing a machine for 24 hours i had the worst case of sleep apnea they had seen, they gave me a CPAP machine which i use now every night no snoring no falling asleep good luck.

I caught the convids last July..my blood oxygen dropped to 88..absolutely f**kin shit myself..hospital,pumped full of all sorts..stopped it but it’s left me bolloxed..breathing’s all over the place and my food tastes like tin..you take care of yourself Jim..ps..love this RU-vid channel..👍👍

Both me and my wife had it she had very mild symptoms and I had probably the worst symptoms I’ve ever had in my life with anything, closest I’ve ever felt to death for 10 days, i’ve tested clear now though and seem to be getting better. My symptoms were lethargicness, loss of taste , and my smell went all weird, tomato sauce smelled like ammonia. Absolute horrible.

Always best to check these things out Jim, I hope the blood results come back clear. I loved the jokey comments re house and tinder, Made me laugh out loud 🤣

Great video Jim - I'm glad your ok. I have not had Covid, but do suffer from sleep apnea and wear a CPAP mask every night. Prior to getting the CPAP equipment, I was tested and diagnosed as stopping breathing over forty times an hour. Since using the machine this has dropped to six times an hour on a good night and I have stopped snoring. Keep up the good work.

Dangerous places hospitals. When I went there I had kidney stones, cancer and then an infection below my wisdom teeth that almost carried me orf... Stay away James, stay away I say.

Jim anxiety can put you in bed, a few years ago I had my BP taken by a nurse and it was high, oh that's no good she said, you should be dead. Well I felt like death after she told me that. Doctor took it about 30 minutes later and it was ok, straight away I felt good. Glad you are ok.

I had my oxygen level checked at my local surgery last week early morning appointment the room was cold tested 88 not good plugged a fan heater on and hey presto it went up to 97. Cold hands!

I have severe sleep apnoea and look like as you described. What I can say is that the machine is fantastic. I sleep better, have loads more energy and no longer snore. Wouldn't be without it now.

Having an O2 of 92% isn’t catastrophic Jim, especially if you’ve ever been a smoker. When I find a patient with lowish sats like that, it’s usually resolved with getting the patient to take a few deep breaths. If they can’t take breaths, get them in the ambulance. If they can take breaths and their sats improve, happy days. If they don’t improve, nebulise them +/- get them in the ambulance. Not a biggy and I’m disappointed that your GP didn’t deal with it. Typical though.

Well Jim Don’t want to worry you but. Got bronchial pneumonia. In hospital on Oxygen. Antibiotics X ray , CT scan Went home still on ABs. 5 weeks had to go back ANOTHER CT SCAN Shadow on my lung Then another CT scan with colour dye then a bronchoscopy 🤮 inconclusive. CT SCAN with clear die. PET SCAN LUNG FUNCTION TEST. CT brain scan still something on my lung NEEDLE BIOPSY. RESULT. LUNG TUMOR GOT TO HAVE IT REMOVED HOW YOU FEELING. ALL MY FRIENDS ARE NOT WELL. I FEEL FINE 👍🤣🤣👍👍❤️❤️

Hi Jim I've got sleep apnea and have to use a cpap machine, well i don't use it now as it seems to have now. If you don't want to use the machine first try not sleeping on your back.

It's not about the parties, people are angry the politicians clearly knew it wasn't as deadly as they told everyone else. If they were terrified as if it were the plague, they wouldn't be meeting up. While they partied, others weren't allowed to sit with dying loved ones. As for saving the country, less than 18000 people have actually died from Covid alone, estimated 50000 undiagnosed cancer cases, then all the other illnesses. Hundreds of thousands will probably unnecessarily die over next 5 years from lack of treatment, oh and he has wasted a trillion quid. Love most your stuff, but disagree here.

For sleep apnea you have to have a sleep test then you have to have a CPAP machine

It is a game changer sleep apnea, every night wearing and breathing through a mask…. I’ve been using machine for awhile now… I’ll never get used to CPAP machine.
