I swear WAR does factor in position already, doesn’t it? Plus the ‘helping their team out’, that’s why we’re talking Ohtani but not Ozuna who has very similar numbers, Ohtani has more WAR, partly ballpark but mainly because he’s had players on ahead of him more often.

I don't mean to be an asshole... but wtf is he talking about the asking price for Bellinger starting with Colt Emerson and then 3 more guys being added to that? Bellinger is making $26ish million each season over the next 2 years and has regressed back to a 109 OPS+ hitter... which is scary considering how terrible he was in '21 and '22. Is he suggesting the Cubs eat all of the remaining $$? Because there's no a snowball's chance in hell that's accurate trade compensation otherwise.
