Absolutely gutted to hear the new manager say that Aberdeen FC is a great example of a club that brings on players and sells them at a profit. That's not what I expect a manager of any club to be saying. They should be fighting to keep their talent not selling it. Back in the day I attended so many testimonials that raised money as a reward of players who'd shown loyalty to the club, incentives were found to try and keep talented players, at least for a while. Look at all the talented players Aberdeen have sold on in the last decade, think what might have been achieved if some of them could have been persuaded to stay. No talented player is going to want to stay if they know any talented team-mate could be sold at any time and so set the team back. They'll just up and leave if they get the chance. All that's happened of late is one of the best players (Ramsay) has been sold, a loyal servant (Considine) has been treated shamefully and let go, Brown and Ramirez have been permitted to walk, they're talking about selling Ferguson and these (decent/good) players have been replaced by a handful of players nobody's heard of. Is this the future? And what's happened to the amazing signing Goodwin said would delight fans (a few days ago)?
