Today’s guest is Jim Shockey.
Jim is an award-winning writer, wildlife photographer, videographer, naturalist, wilderness guide, and outfitter.
He is the host of Jim Shockey’s Hunting Adventures, The Professionals, Uncharted, and Shock Therapy on the Outdoor Channel.
He owns several outfitting territories in Canada's wildlands, including the Pacific Rim Guide Territory on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and Rogue River Outfitting in the Yukon Territory.
His work documenting wildlife has been widely recognized, and his television productions have won 15 Golden Moose Awards. He’s also an accomplished marksman, an official Member International of the Explorers Club in New York City, and a retired Honorary Lieutenant Colonel of 4 Canadian Ranger Patrol Group (4CRPG) Canadian Armed Forces. In college, Jim was an all-American swimmer and member of the Canadian National Water Polo team.
A noted expert in ethnocentric arts of Western Canada, Jim opened the Hand of Man Museum of Cultural Arts and Conservation on Vancouver Island in 2019.

@JackCarrUSA Everytime I listen to your interviews, I gain more respect for you as a human. This interview with Jim Shockey is another perfect example of how you listen, respond, encourage and interact with your guests. Edit: @47:45 what Jim is describing could be a Borrelia burgdorferi infection (Lyme). Given Jim’s lifestyle in the wilderness, a tick born illness is highly likely. 1. Please ask him to read Dr Steven Phillips book Chronic. Dr Phillips became bedbound and was headed to hospice care before he self diagnosed himself with Lyme. This organism has ways to avoid detection and doctors have difficulty diagnosing it. 2. Ask him to find a specialist who is knowledgeable in treating Lyme disease. There are a very small number of doctors who truly understand the disease and best treatment pathways.

Trudeau's voters make me ashamed to be Canadian. Being dumb enough to elect him once, fine, but after Aga Kahn, after SNC-Lavalin and what he did to the [actually] Honorable Wilson-Raybould, after black face, after WE charity, after gun ban 2020, after Marwan Tabbara, after the prosecution (persecution) of Admiral Norman, not only did they not lose the election, voters gave him another two seats! I don't have words for my absolute disgust with my fellow citizens.
