Some of Reverend Jim Ignatowski's best scenes. Classic Comedy Reverend Jim Iggy Ignatowski Christopher Lloyd Judd Hirsh Marilou Henna Danny Devito Tony Danza Theme song Angela by Bob James. #Taxi #shorts #JimIgnatowski #Iggy #BobJames
They left out the funniest part of the cabin sketch. After Jim bangs his head he says 'Where the hell are we!" Somebody says "We're in a cabin in the woods." Jim asks, "Are we lumberjacks?" "No we're cab drivers." Jim then says, "We must not get a lot of business up here."
Taxi was such a FUNNY show. Every character was perfect. But Jim was over the top! What a super actor Christopher Lloyd was. Imagine how difficult it would've been to maintain that persona. What an actor...the best hands down!
I don't think CL found it difficult at all. He loved this stuff. I believe he was involved in Frasier - more truly funny stuff. Back to the Future would not have been such a hit without him. Truly beautiful and true comedy.
For me, the piano-playing skit on Taxi was among the very top skits ever put together. It is so brilliant that it made such a lasting impression I've retold and shared it many times.
Man I loved Taxi! What a great show! But I also used to crack up at the live audience laughing! 😂 specially the guy on the back hilarious crack up! “Haww….haw!”👋🤣👍
I loved the one where he made a dollhouse for Nardo but taking a welding torch to the can he lived in, exposing himself to the elements. Beautiful character.
Marilu Henner. A longtime dancer in musicals, one could see her ballet training. She also is one of those impossibly rare people who can remember what she was doing on any day in her life. She has been in many parts on tv and movies.
It's such a shame that some people only know Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown. He has such an impressive body of work that the younger among us have never seen.
16:35 Marilu Henner is hysterical & Iggy even breaks the unbreakable Danny Devito for just a second Chris Lloyd and Michael Richards are the best at what they do
@E-d1d3 can you believe he was almost not even on the show? Last minute addition. Without Reverend Jim Taxi isn't Taxi. They're all great but only Devito and Lloyd are irreplaceable
bro is the best piano player frfr and i loves this guy so much in back to the future and taxi is funny while he being jim ignowatoski and doc emmett laptrop brown or doc brown love him :D
My favorite Ignatowski episode was when he cut his van up and used the steel panels to built a metal sculpture of a castle in Elaine's living room to cheer her up.
Best Jim scene is when Alex is fretting over traveling to Brazil for his daugters wedding and Jim is answering all the random trivia facts - until he can't. "Went to the well one too many times" Where is Part I?
This is back when a good comedy was a good comedy that actually made you laugh. Not like the stupid shit on the tube today. These old actors were really funny not like these actors of today tryiing to act funny. Those good ole' shows like Taxi, WKRP in Cincinniati, All in the Family, Sanford & Son, The Jeffersons, Roseanne, , Benson, (My Favorite) "SOAP"and many others can never be matched with these half~assed actors of today!!!
I was too young to watch this on network TV. I’m glad now- woulda ruined Doc Brown for me. Lloyd is just too iconic. Watching this, I keep expecting Marty to show up 😅
The cocaine episode was one of the funnier episodes, but nothing like Reverend Jim's driving test. This was indeed one of the funniest shows ever to air on television.
Jim was a rich, uptight prude who only tried a pot brownie to get his girlfriend off his back. One little nibble and it was like he’d seen the face of God.
This was comedy at its best, Jim was played so well...i still crack up after seeing some scenes a hundred times. all of them were so much better than what we have today, the writing was excellent too. Karol Kane as Simka and Andy Kaufman as Latka were killers, Simka's way of talking was so sweet...and funny...and Kaufman was a genius. Miss them all so much!!
We had the comic genius Les Dawson in the U.K. To play a classical piece is one thing, to play it out of tune is much more complicated than you think. Les Dawson & well loved Welsh singer Shirley Bassey below: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qxmu9HKN4gY.html
I remember the next day in work. We laughed our arses off. At lunch there wasn't a table that wasn't talking and laughing about it. I worked in a hospital lol...
My favorite episode of his is when he was taking his written driver's test and he kept asking what does a yellow light mean ? And when they said slow down that's exactly what he did, he kept asking the question slower and slower !!! It was hilarious !!! 😝
Between Foster Brooks and Christopher Lloyed ; they both portraid their act of genius with the unforgettable comedy that we all enjoyed through these years....i always laughed my arse off!!!!! Thank you both so much for your true comedy!! "The greatest!"...😅😅😂😂❤❤❤
I knew several Jim's in real life. One could have actually named the town closest to the leaves in the cookies. Sadly, he is now gone. Jim remains...as one of the truly great characters in comedy. You can't watch without at least cracking a smile.
