Try Duck Popcorn had a pretty simple recipe. Water, yellow corn, yellow corn malt and sugar. For 50 gallons of mash he would use 1 pound of sugar for every gallon and 1/2 pound of corn for every gallon. Any questions??

I just want to know right way to make corn mash.A lot of you tube videos and all seem different , use this use that , heat this dont heat.. I understand you dont want to tell exact recipe but can you at least make a video of making mash and what goes into it.I just want the way it has been done by popcorn/old timers.I dont want to use cornmeal,corn syrup,Amylase enzyme or yeast..Can you make that video where you show/explain making mash from start and what are basic ingredients and way it done?

Gotta agree with ya 100% Chuck. The Discovery Channel Moonshiners show is total bullshit. F is for Fake. These docs about Jim Tom, Moonshine, and Still Making Moonshine are for real. Nothing faked, nothing staged.

What was the hose on the lid for?.. Too expel of the gas build up?

Just tired of seeing people saying do this , put this in or that , you dont need corn just use sugar and yeast.....I dont want to reinvent a new way to make mash, just want a video of how old timers made it. I like If it works there is no need to mess with process and cant seem to find any videos of old timers making mash and explaining what they use.No disrespect to anyone just looking for way its been done by real moonshiners.

Well Chuck If the show is Bullshit you do not know much about moonshine . I know Jeff and he is the real deal! So is Lance. 7 and 8th Generation Moonshiners.

Popcorn did NOT make top notch hootch. I dont care how likable he is. What he made was called Thin Mash. Much better then plain old sugar shine but still not as good as all grain.. Its not hard to do right. You just dont get as much, but its much better

Trust me here .....my grandfather , grandma, uncles , and dad made moonshine. I am 39 and live in Topton NC , the moonshiner series is a bunch of horse shit. The only real moonshiner on it is Jim Tom. I live where they filmed that garbage. And by the way adding yeast makes " money making" liquor. But it is also " bust head" liquor.
