Thanks for the honest test Jamie! It's so cringey to see RU-vid reviewers magically become chemical engineers and create some totally average product and "test" it as the greatest thing to ever exist. Destroys their credibility forever for me.

Over the last 10years I've tried over 40 different sprays and finally settled on Ethos and Turtle Wax hybrid solutions spray. TW is the best buy by far, and after I finally figured out how to apply it without streaking by using a third wet towel, I was stoked. Also, it is not friendly to spray on hot dark paint on our over 100° summer days. Ethos has always been the easiest to use, and the shine is good, though not as good as TW. So, now Jimbos is in my garage. Turtle Wax is $14, Ethos is $29, and $35 for Jimbos. But Jimbos gives me the high gloss of TW with the best feel and the easiest to apply. So I decided to buy a gallon and use it as a topper on my maintenance clients to get feedback. If it turns out as well as I expect, it will be a keeper especially if he lowers the price. It is a business, after all. Here is the kicker: teaching clients how to apply TW has not been as easy as I had hoped. So now I am giving a complementary bottle of Jimbos at delivery for those who want to do it themselves, simply because it is the easiest to apply. If they use it, I win.

I've had Hard as Shell on my Tacoma a little over a month now, so far I'm not that impressed. The durability has been fine, but it's what a call grippy, while it beads really well, water doesn't slide off like other products I've used, like Dr. Beasley's Bead Hero.

Jimbo use to talk so much crap about other people’s products during his testing. My buddy bought and wasn’t a fan. I wasn’t impressed with it at all and the price point is crazy. You can’t get anyone better to do a test than Jamie. DIY, Ethos and mystery product did very.

I’ve been using Resist and Ceramic Gloss since they came out. I also use Apex BC2 with great results. That gives me a ceramic, a Graphene and a Polysilazane spray coatings. I doubt I’ll use Jimbos because it’s too expensive for what it is. Good video.

@@JamieTheCleaner I use Resist to top the Ethos Graphene V2.0 coating….the Ceramic Gloss to top the DIY 5 year coating and the. BC2 to top the Apex BC1 coating. I gotta say Brian’s BC combo impresses me the most even though I personally have the Ethos combo on my cars.

Honestly , I think they all did very well for sure ! Keep in mind, due to how easy it is to reseal the surface. Every other wash, you can reapply.

Here's the thing. There are so many products available to the consumer that you can't really afford to miss the mark. If it's gonna be that expensive, it better last a frigging long time. I get that you have R&D and startup business expenses to pay for, but good lord, the majority of us are working class enthusiasts or business owners. Ain't nobody got time to shell out for something that doesn't shell up.

Hard As Shell was easy to apply streak free and the initial gloss was great. However, the durability was horrible. After driving through puddles, Hard As Shell didn't make it through the first wash. There was no beading after the wash. This happened on 2 different cars. I ditched Hard As Shell and purchased Ethos Resist which is waaay more durable. Jamie's test was 100% accurate.

Good video man. A lot of people gotta realize that getting 6+ months or even 4+ months is extremely hard to find in a sealant. Ideally ease of use is the number 1 characteristic you should be looking for. I’m currently testing Jimbos product and it’s one of the easiest sealants I’ve applied in the 14 years I’ve been detailing professionally. When you have a product that doesn’t streak windows or streak dull piano black pillars or streak dull paint, you have something good there 100%. If durability is something your trying to find in a $30-$40 dollar bottle, you need to think realistically and apply a well know ceramic coating. All the products mentioned in this video do exactly what is promised and do it well. But for those who have anything negative to say I’d love to see your results and prove you have a product that can hold its value, it’s very rare when you can actually claim a product will progress 6+ months. You do have great demos Jamie keep up the good work.

The Jimbo's stuff looks OK, it might be one of those products that is better as a topper. (When I say OK, I meant in comparison to absolute garbage like F11 and Shine Armor) But the price is the real crime. $40 can buy you a gallon of 3D Bead-it-up, and apply it every single wash and you'd still have more leftover.

Only time will tell with real world wear on the vehicles. I hope Jimbos delivers, because none of them last anywhere close to what they claim. Great video Jamie

I have seen so many conflicting results with spray sealants it’s crazy. When I test on my plastic mirror I use Fireball Wax Off or at least polish by hand with KC fine cut. Sometimes I use Wax Off after polishing because it’s so good at removing oils. It makes my results much more consistent. I’ve had some interesting results though. If you talk water sheeting speed, nothing beats 2 coats of Fireball Pirouette. Armour Adapt V1 is almost as good which is crazy since it’s a waterless wash. Jimbo’s gave me decent water behavior similar to Gyeon Ceramic Detailer. No idea on durability

Then after the whole "industry-disrupting" coating flopped big-time, the CEO was trying to explain why it had such a high failure rate and Jamie (a long with a lot of people) thought it was kind of a BS fix and got pissed with how the CEO was dodging the issue, so he won't use their products anymore. And "cheeks" means it sucks ass 😂

Interesting, I was going to ask if jimbos was the easiest to apply, cause getting that kinda quality from a very easy to use product would be worth it. If ethos resist and diy ceramic are just as easy then I’m gonna completely agree with you on the durability claim. I can see Jimbos being worth it for being a great drying aid and reliable topper to go on all surfaces. Good on him for trying to make a good reliable easy to use product though. Nice test!!! Jimbo’s product works well but I think it’s out of the sweet spot price range and maybe that’s what people have the biggest issue with. I’ve had it on a couple cars with no issues so far.

Very poor testing, never saw the application of the products, the products appeared much too close to each other, making it very susceptible to cross contamination,my opinion is that it is not a true test !

It's so easy to apply just use it. Doesn't streak and during the wipe off it starts getting slick. I like it as a drying aid as well
