Linda McCartney photographed the front cover. As for the comment stating that they turned him into a business, guess what, rock and roll is a business!

Looking forward to hearing this in 5.1. True that the packaging quality isn't on par with the Beatles white album 50th anniversary, however the price difference Electric Ladyland £49.99, White Album £124.99 makes this the better bargain.

Hi. The set looks great. A very nice book with a lot of text. I rather like to read about album and artist than looking at only a picture book. I am still in doubt buying it. Enjoy the listen and the Bluray.

I think the cover is nice . There is nothing wrong with kids on album covers . Led Zeppelin and others have children on albums . Linda knew that there would be implied symbolism in the photo she was taking . The photo is about the infinite beauty of Jimi's music and its mind expanding potential. The mushrooms and Alice in Wonderland have come to represent the Psyedelic experience of falling down a rabbit hole . To others the cover means something entirely different . Placing Hendrix next to children shows the humble human side of Hendrix and that's cool too.

Mine didn't have that slip cover on the back .

I love Jimi, but I think we were conned to buying this set because everywhere I read it said " two track soundboard recording of Hollywood bowl 68" I already had the bootlegs of the Hollywood bowl many years ago, and the so called Newley discovered 2 track soundboard recordings sound exactly like the bootleg, full of distortion on the drums and bass, and jimis vocals etc,,, it is very far from a soundboard recording, and the other unreleased stuff I already had on bootlegs many times,,, they are nothing special,, just Jimi messing around in his bedroom.... they should release the Albert hall 69 on blu ray and DVD and be done with it. They are keeping us in suspense now for at least 25 to 30 years, its rediculous,,, its all about who will make the most money out of Jimi, even though none of them are really related to Jimi by blood, and never gave a stuff about his real family and close relatives,,,,, it's all about the money!!!! Very sad indeed. They should do a better job of remixing his music and not compressing it at all, like they have been doing since 1989 and onwards,,, Jimi Hendrix is one of the most ripped off musicians in the history of this style of music,,,,they still can not get it right, so they keep re releasing the same stuff now for decades,, what a real shame,,,,, and I love Jimi,, he is the best ever,,,,

Design and packaging nowhere near as good as the White album. Always thought that the infamous UK cover was much more interesting. Only the 5.1 mix is of interest as I bought the 2007 remaster. Bit of a cash in.

I don't like the new album cover. This set is a bit disappointing to me.
