Here's Eric Henderson performing "Little Wing" by Jimi Hendrix on a 2004 Manuel Velazquez classical guitar made with spruce top and CSA rosewood back and sides. Recorded at the Guitar Salon International showroom in Santa Monica, CA.

GSI reportedly was required to have fire department on site and to have lowered the building air conditioning to near arctic in order to prevent Eric Henderson's guitar from bursting into flames as he belted out this scorcher.

Believe it or not, but I got so emotional that I started to tear up. Little Wing was always my favourite song by Jimi and hearing this makes me miss him even more; despite the fact he died more than 20 years before I was born.

Totally. Have you heard he said the song was inspired by the good showing at the Monterey pop festival? My uncle Tom was there, I have never gotten the chance to ask him about Jimmy's show, I should do that while he is still alive. Jimmy was a fool in ways, his song, "Foxy lady" shows us that. That is an immoral song and it is not good for the human race, but fortunately, Jesus died on the cross for people who sin in ignorance, and He said, "father, forgive them, they know not what they do."

I remember once reading how classical guitarists didn't rate electrical guitarists (not naming the person but he was Spanish) so it's amazing to see a master of the classical guitar playing a signature piece by the master of electric guitar. Best cover I've come across in 50 years.

Wow. That is amazing. It just goes to show that it doesn't matter what kind of guitarist you are: rock, jazz, classical, flamenco. We all feel the magic when we play Little Wing. This song transports you to a deeply spiritual place when you play it, and listening to this version took me there as well. Amazing work, Mr. Henderson - thank you. And thank you GSI for making all these incredible videos!

My God that was a genius rendition! I was hoping though for him to end the song on an add 9 chord similar to the Royal Albert Hall version of the song. Regardless this was amazing!
