Yes, Mitch was a badass drummer. He was also a great addition to 'The Dirty Mac' at the Rolling Stones' Rock and Roll Circus. Lennon on lead vocal and rhythm guitar, Clapton on lead guitar, Richards on bass and Mitch on the skins! Talk about a supergroup. 👍
@PaulTheSkeptic

Incredible. One of the best of his time or of any time. Fantastic drummer. Noel was a guitar player from what I understand. But I wouldn't call him an ameteur. He knew his stuff. If I were in a band with Jimi Hendrix, I wouldn't want to play guitar. Bass would be nice. I could slip into a nice pocket and let Jimi do his thing. I could add to the music by providing the groove and doing that well without trying to compete with Jimi.

I am a Hendrix fan for Life. I studied Jimmi's music and licks for 30 years now. He will always be the GOAT. To me the only guitarist to hold a flame to the GOAT was SRV. When Joe Walsh said he couldn't figure Jimmi out because he's guitar was backwards including the strings is NOT TRUE. If you look at the GOAT playing, his low E string is on the top. If he played backwards, the low E would be at the bottom. I thought this for years and started playing lefty with low E on the bottom. I haven't changed since. Jimmi was a showman and what better effect than playing upsidedown and backwards, and inside out. He will forever be the ultimate champ, guitar hero. ✌️❤️🤗🇵🇸

You have the genius of the PLAYING…which people emulate and copy. Then you have the true genius of the creativity. All the greats….its one thing to learn the licks and riffs. It’s another to come up with them. Hendrix and Eddie are the game changers in my opinion. Just devastating in every way.

I have a couple of bootleg tapes, that feature Stills playing bass in the studio with Jimi, and also with Johnny Winter! Stills occasionally did jam at the Scene Club, with Jimi, in 1968. What Stills will not admit to, is that in 1970, at Island Studios in London, he asked Jimi to contribute some guitar on Steve's solo album....but he then decided to erase Jimi's efforts!

So there goes Jimi's Inspiration about shows : He followed Johnny Hallyday in France for a tour, at the time Johnny was rolling on stage and going into frenzy during his act, and then he saw Pete Townsend smash the amps, and here you go. The Chittlin circuit had given his the idea of playing under his leg, with teeth and behind your back. All this to give a Wonderfull act from an outstanding musician to glow some more.
