The three of you gave us a great "breakdown" of Jimin's performance. This is the third version that I have seen of this song. One was the original MV, one was on the Jimmy Fallon Show and of course this version. I interpret this as a form of "modern dance". This version does seem a bit more sensual as well. Great reaction girls. Take care.

Great reaction! Your insights and thoughtful reflection helped me to step back and pay attention to the choices the choreographer and Jimin made for this performance. I need to go back to the original and watch it again. Again the thirst in everyone's eyes just makes me smile, nod and chuckle. FYI: Studio Choom is part of the MNET networks. Choom is Korean for dance. As far as I am aware Studio Choom is not a pay-for-play organization. Companies can't buy their way onto Choom. Especially their artist of the month series. Over the years people have wondered why BTS or one of their members hasn't done a Studio Choom performance. As far as I am aware Big Hit/Hybe never addressed this (not that they would need to). As you know the performance videos on Choom are usually followed up with a behind the scenes episode showing the rehearsals and conversations with/by the artist. Hopefully Jimin will give us some insight into why this is the first time a member has participated. As you pointed out Jimin's training as a dancer makes it all the more fitting that he agreed to this performance. Thanks again!

I think they never went on studio choom as a group because they just didn’t have the time. And also their releases the past few years as a group were in English & they focused heavily on promoting in America. They don’t tend to promote the English songs in Korea. There was YTC but it had no choreo and run bts wasn’t a title track so promotions for b-sides are less in general anyway. For ON/black swan, again I don’t think they had the time. It felt like they were back and forth from Korea to America a lot. And I think SC was like 7-ish months old at this point? Not as popular as it is now. There’s also the obvious fact that SC is a way to promote & gain new fans but BTS are quite settled in that department 😂 they’re so big now that they don’t really have to appear on another show/channel to promote or for the song to do well. But with that being said, it’s nice that we’re seeing them appear on these Korean shows again in this solo era! It feels like there was a decline when they started getting more popular globally.

Great commentaries Ladies! Them watching Jimmin, it would be the same draw drop when he did Lie then danced w/ Taemin. RM was just oh jimin. Jin, how is he so weak and yet so strong. Jhope no sound after Jimin show us your face. Sugar, JK and V would do their famous swallow, hold breath, swallow stare. JK & Suga w/ mouths open to breath and V w/ that sly smile of his when he watches Jimin dance. The world can have their fun shipping but those are on pause when they watch Jimin dance.
