I love how half way through Short is picking up that he's not getting much out of Falco (who I love) and so he just totally takes over. And it's hysterical.
Ouch 04:34. To 05:10 that was a difficult watch. Genuine tears there. As other have said below. The “shhhhhh” was a trigger for Edie. Short battled hard to get it back..not sure he managed. Oof.
Martin is such a genius to know when he's lost to the brilliance of Ms Edie Falco that he just hugs her. Just like boxers do with their opponents when they've gotten the better of them and they are tryna recuperate from it.
I think Edie Falco is Ellen Degeneres. Then I was thinking naw, she's famous, so there is probably some video out there with her and Ellen together, and it was like finding Jeff Goldblum and Howard Stern in a video together.
Edie Falco is great here, she "acted" like she took Jiminy seriously...or did her press agent not prepare her at all? Others, please chime in. I laughed a lot, thanks so much.
He was confusing the narrative a bit in this one - I haven't seen one thing you’re in... You have no range - says she looks like the wife of the mafia guy in that tv show and then later he knows that she is in the Sopranos... But with a personality like that you could explain it all away by how derranged he is 😅
Other interviews have funnier moments - Mel Brooks - but this is one of my favorites because of how open and calm she was (and remained) throughout. Not trying to force anything or match him for comedic effect, she just listened, gave simple answers and seemed to enjoy herself. And got out of his way. Well done.
Made the mistake of watching this at the library....sounded like a freak trying to stifle my loud laugh...had to leave the building.....He is toooo much!!!
"And the next thing I know, I'm being strip-searched...and that was okay." So many real guffaw moments here, and I was not expecting it from this one. Even Falco, in her contrasting placidness, made me laugh when she said, "That was...a little alarming" in the tiniest, calmest voice, after Jiminy's emotional hug.
“You know, it’s crazy, I’ve never seen anything you’ve been in. Nothing. Isn’t that funny? HA! You know who you look like? You look like the wife of that mafia guyyyyy.”
@@bozazz Ya dude this line describes Glick pretty much, always self centered LOL. Short IS so good, he makes the crew laugh in the background alot, physically hilarious too. Love this character and thanks for commenting b/c i haven't seen this in awhile and laughed hard again. I'm doing just fine ty for asking! Hope all is well with you as well.
This is one of the better ones. His Joke about why he called his aunt Carmella and her reaction are priceless. Sadly I fear I am almost out of interviews to watch.
It's okay, there are enough so once you're through with one cycle you can return to the ones you watched in the beginning of the cycle and just keep on going
my god, i did not expect to laugh so hard, whenever jiminy starts to cry i lose it, but he never pushed it on the guest so hard, i loved it, you can see edie is kind of in awe with the madness in front of her at 3:20
"god forbid you should go to church and question why you would interrupt ME." crazy genius Martin Short, imho... even though i don't know who Martin Short is (or was?)
Marty admitted in another interview that the shush really upset her - apparently some bad history with being silenced as a child. If you know to look for it, you can see that while he's scolding her for interrupting him she's actually having a reaction to it.
