About Jimmy: Jimmy Carr is an award-winning comedian, writer and television host, famous for his dark humour and one-line jokes. You’ll think of him as either a politically incorrect equal opportunities offender or a fake-toothed donkey-laugh plastic-haired comedy mannequin. Either way he was scientifically proven to be the funniest comedian in the UK.
About Tom:
Tom Papa, a celebrated stand-up comedian with over 20 years in the industry, has made significant strides in film, television, radio, podcasts, and live performances. Notably, he's a regular on "The Joe Rogan Experience" and various late-night TV shows. Papa's literary skills are evident in his books “We’re All In This Together” and "You’re Doing Great!: And Other Reasons To Stay Alive," a collection of essays, and "Your Dad Stole My Rake: And Other Family Dilemmas," a comedic look at family life. His latest stand-up specials are “Tom Papa: What A Day!” and "Tom Papa: You’re Doing Great!" on Netflix.
Beyond comedy, Papa's engagements extend to hosting "What A Joke With Papa And Fortune" on SiriusXM and appearing on NPR's "Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me." His love for baking led to hosting the Food Network series "Baked." As an actor, he's worked with notable figures like Rob Zombie and Steven Soderbergh and has appeared in several films and TV shows, including the HBO film "Behind the Candelabra." Additionally, Papa has contributed as a writer to projects like "Bee Movie" and various TV series. Residing in Los Angeles with his family, Papa continues to balance his professional life with personal interests like baking.
Jimmy Carr returns to Netflix with his latest stand-up special Jimmy Carr: Natural Born Killer out now.
Jimmy’s brand-new international tour Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny and his double headline show with Jim Jefferies, The Charm Offensive Tour are on sale now. For tickets and info visit jimmycarr.com.

As an American, my introduction to tom was a game show "The Marriage Ref." I became a fan of his delivery on the game show, but it plays out in his stand up. He's so great at making fun of regular life.

After listening to Jimmy on a bunch of podcasts lately (learned so much about charm and charisma) I started saying "It's kind of that thing where.." when I explain things to people.

Jimmy Carr is a one-of-a-kind wth unique perspectives and a very funny guy. Personally, I hate wearing a suit-- but I can't picture Jimmy wearing anything else. He's a proper gentleman! PS-- While I don't fully agree with everything he said, it was lovely to hear such a glowing impression of America from an outsider.

Trying to imagine Jimmy and Kat having waffles together....please make that a podcast. But on topic, I appreciate that Jimmy understands and expresses that audiences can be smart enough to parse out jokes vs. points from which we can learn and grow. follow on edit: This is a great discussion exposing the genius of Jimmy. finally, Nikki was great on the roast, but tony Hinchcliffe was absolutely to best of the show.

It's not Jack Klugman, but I loved Quincy growing up, I think he lived on a sail boat, which always fascinated me. I'm pretty sure I know who it is...They are in an Italian restaurant...hint hint.I just saw a wide shot...it is Jack, my apologies..:)

@@ricbogart1968 You, sir, are an upstanding dude. I wiki’d Jack Klugman just to see if he might be Italian, seeing that everyone else on the wall was Italian. No dice-Russian Jew.

Jimmy is right, comedy both live and on youtube or on some other streaming services is blowing up. As he points out, the quality and variety has never been better and just about every comedian has a podcast (IMO that is better than the late night shows), and a youtube channel that has a catalog of their work. I would suspect that older mediums are fading quickly, less on revised viewers habits of time shifting versus appointment viewing, and more because the quality of their offerings. Traditional TV constricts and censors comic's material, and who cares about vapid actors promoting their projects and disposable pop music acts that liter their shows.

I think Jimmy has written a ''podcast conversation script'' that he has memorized like a comedy set and just repeats it on every podcast

It's kinda that thing of... you're promoting your special and want to get your ideas across so you practice them in your head and say the same things in the same wording in 30 different interviews. Love Jimmy, but he repeats himself A LOT.
