But, and this is a huge but, catholics still need to deal with the fact that they support an organisation which is involved with child rape. And this organisation covers up child rape and prevents those priests from going to jail. The old pope has its own part in covering rapists and therefore it's not a problem of some pedophiles sneaking into the church, but a problem of the leaders allowing those perverts to go unpunished. And catholics support this organisation.

And comparing the rate of suspected pedophile priests with the average of pedophiles in the population is comparing apples with oranges. Suspected pedophiles are very likely to be fewer then pedophiles in average. Because it's very unlikely to be suspected even if you are one. Your whole argument is flawed with false facts and faulty logic. You are wrong and in denial. Those pedofiles need to be put in regular prisons and judged by courts that judge regular people. I'm british and I can tell you for certain Jimmy isn't comfortable playing to more conservative american and canadian audiences because of his challenging jokes on sexuallity, religion don't go down well. You can see he is stressing and cuts jokes short to avoid trouble, but ruins his act. Watch his performances in the UK cos he is a legend!
It'd be the same in the Scandinavian countries and Holland, Luxembourg and Belgium as in the UK. He can pretty much say whatever offensive stuff he wants and people would laugh their ass off.
Jimmy Car and others like Frankie Boyle are unique, you would never find headliners like these in the USA. products of a liberal comedy scene unique to the UK. It's a shame cos U.S used to make excellent comedies in 70's and 80's, but now everyone sues everyone for slander when they make a joke bout someone! Americans always say us Brits are stiff and stuck up! Well if you compare evidence like our comedy to yours I thinks you'll find it's the other way around!

People think that the "booo" guy is an idiot. Actually, he contributes a lot to the show. Jimmy can handle it, and if he hadn't shouted "boooo" at the catholic priest rape joke, we wouldn't have gotten the perfect transition to the uber-punchline following up. Even idiots have an important part to play, and we should not take them for granted. Imagine how boring the world would have been without them.

This guy is brilliant !! Great material, great delivery, great energy. The problem with the audience is that they were mostly middle-aged adults, moms, dads, even some grand parents there. Once you become a parent, you no longer laugh at subjects you did as a kid. You are now a protector, a nurturer, a provider. Your sense of humor and your sense of life is totally different. You are now a serious person, who only laughs at your political enemies and rich people convicted of fraud who end up going to jail.
if you like him, if you don't, I have yet to find many comedians that is as expert at handling hecklers as Jimmy Carr. There is one other comedian I have seen, but cant remember his name at the moment.

I love REALLY dark (read black) humour. Jimmy and Frankie are kings in this field. They take NO prisoners. This was, I would quess, quite a risky (and indeed risque) set to a non British audience, and I felt he over explained some jokes that he wouldn't have needed to do in the UK. Not everyones cup of tea I know, but there is quite a depth of wit in these routines.
I'll say this, Jimmy Carr is one of the best comedians I have ever seen. His dead-delivery and clever jokes cannot be matched by anyone you name; just buy his dvd's you'll see. This is comedy at its finest, and no, he does not do mainstream comedy so, he probably never be as popular in North America.
Really? I always thought Jimmy's style of a constant stream of one-liners was a more American style of comedy compared to most other British comics I've seen, which I'll admit is not as many as I would like. That's outside of panel shows of course, where one-liners lend to the format and probably why he is such a presence in that genre of television.
