That's what I thought too. My brother and I were fortunate to arrive on time, and end up in the overflow room. Before Jimmy went to the sanctuary, he chatted with those in the overflow room for a bit. It was a two-sided Q&A. He would ask how far people have travelled and where from. Best one was someone saying "Washington D.C.!" and he responded with a nearly-nonchalant "hey, I used to live there!" In that moment it was as-if we all forgot he was the President at one point, and him being in D.C. like that couple was a coincidence. The other part I enjoyed in the overflow room was him taking questions on the news at the time. As this was mid-May 2018, the latest was the Trump's Administration beginning discussions on peace talks with North Korea. As I'm fairly fascinated by the country and know a good amount of its history, I knew Jimmy would have a deep perspective and be sharp as a tack on the subject. He expressed cautious optimism to Trump's effort, as did I, since Jimmy had worked as an envoy in 1994. He had discussion with then-leader Kim Il-Sung about ending the nuclear program, which was making a positive step in the right direction, only for Kim to die from a heart attack not long after that meeting. I enjoyed both his Sunday School lesson and the sermon delivered by their young pastor at the time, the latter being a message to "share that oasis that you were gifted" in reference to Heaven. This lined up well with Jimmy's methods of outreach with his faith, which weren't direct proselytizing but instead through action, such as his work in humanitarian aid. I'm personally an atheist, but I know he was one of the few to "act Christlike" and match what that should mean. I'll miss this guy.

If only religious leaders the world over had Jimmy's intelligent demeanor, and connection with people not restrained by the clichéd dogma of 'god'...well, you know!

No, he was a lousy president. He tried to micro manage every aspect of his presidency which was his downflall. But with that said he was a great man who did lots for many communities and people. For that alone he has always had my respect.

With his age and terminal medical conditions, he would likely be absolutely miserable living the amount of time it will take to reach 100. He has had a great run, let's all wish him as smooth and peaceful a transition possible.

At his age and state of health, he is likely ready to go. His parents are calling for him, as are his sisters, his sister's sons who have died. his brother, his grandson. the grandsons of his two sisters.
