Hey, as a Seahawks fan, I gotta say, if the Dallas Cowboys wanna be great, they gotta hire an actual general manager. As long as Jerry Jones is the owner, chairman, president, etc.. he will run it the way that's not great. He needs to step down and just be the owner and let other people be hired for a GM, President etc.. The team needs new front office !

@@SLaPs817 True, except my employees worked 193 days out of the year. So one of them would have to have a bad 3 weeks to equal 1 NFL game. And a Wild Card, a playoff game, carries extra weight. Now it is also true that the entire team sucked in that game, but everyone thinks these guys are Special.

I have a suggestion. The QB position is the most coveted in the NFL however, the college game is NOT doing a great job putting out NFL ready starting QBs, I disagree with Jimmy. How about the NFL making it mandatory for the QB position players coming out of college to stay 3 full years in college at least, before declaring for the draft. (QB position only)
You used to be able to play field position in the old kickoffs too, the only reason they were bad last season is because the NFL added a purposefully terrible rule that made fair catches come out to the 25 automatically.

I have always thought Jimmy has a great football IQ but I don't like it when they make blanket statements like teams without a quality QB cannot win. We have seen teams win SB's with guys like Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson. SF has been to the NFCGG and the SB the last 2 seasons with the guy taken last in the draft. As a cowboy fan I watched Cooper Rush go 4-1 early in the season a couple of years ago saving the season for them.

Shouldn’t be any preseason games. Teams should have a month to get ready, be able to schedule a few scrimmages, that’s it. With what these guys get paid, if they can’t show up ready, let them pay the consequences. Season should be 18 games, and never, ever any more.
Pay attention to what he said. Good QBs want Great Money and Rookies are coming in to the league ready to play a pro system. Signing a guy like Dak to any contract is absurd. His inability to read defenses and the fact that he turns the ball over.

The College players are more prepared because the Genius owners of the NFL have decided to dumb the league to College style play, teams don't practice anymore, and no pre-season. So, they're barely more "Professional" than college players. All of that playes into injuries and quality of play. Two things the league really struggles with.

Easy to say that bud. The issue is outside of qb they are built to win now. If they dont pay dak their is no other quality starter out their thats available that can lead a super bowl team. At a price that would be any cheaper than what dak is gonna get. If you go to the draft, cowboys win yo many games to get a high enoufj draft pick and so they would have to find a 2nd or 3rd round qb that was a diamond in the rough. Issue with that is if by miracle they found that guy in the draft he would newd atleast a season or 2 to get comfortable to the league and by that time theynwould have to break up tuenrrst of the team abd be worse odd then they are now. They habe no choice but to pay dao because they will not make the playoffs for the next 3 to 4 years if they start over. Theynare in the worst spot .. too good to pick high for a reboot and not good enough to win it all. Pay dak and get to playoffs at least.. or dont pay dak and miss the playoffs next 3 or 4 years and watch as cee dee and micah and other stars age out of their primes. and would be longer if they dont get a better qb then dak.. no guarantee they will.
