Don't reckon Jimmy's false as much as his role on as host doesn't let him interact with anyone on an even level. He doesn't play the game, he doesn't actively contribute at all most of the time outside of a line or two... Sometimes it feels like his role is almost decorative.
Jimmy flung the pen almost faster than the camera could follow and Sean caught and uncapped that plastic missile without breaking eye contact! Very slick.
Miles and Sean with the Welks made me LOL. Miles: " I'll give you 10 pounds if you eat them all." Sean: " Ten pounds?" Fair shout to Jimmy to ask the producers to sponsor more money - which they did. I wonder if that's why Miles says " Money...a grand? in one of these clips." Sean lock - tall, smart and handsome.
RIP Sean Lock. Wish I could thank him for all the laughs. Definitely made this lockdown business easier for a lot of people who are hurting. Condolences to his family.
I don’t think anyone has made me laugh as much as this man. It’s weird it’s actually making it easier to deal with the fact that he’s gone because all I can think of are the endless happy memories he’s given me. Love you Sean ❤️
RIP to this great man. I've spent hours upon hours watching clips of him from cats does countdown, WILTY, and others and enjoyed every second. Sad we won't get any more future classic hilarious moments but that just means we get to appreciate the ones we did get even more. Miss you already Sean ❤
@@bovery23 someone else pointed out the seal laugh is just the sound of laughter when you are inhaling. Carr simply normally does the inhale laugh, and sometimes the exhale laugh.
@@bovery23 its not an act I make that sound too. I think he normally laughs silently and the seal sound is just him sharp/fast inhaling. Its that case for me at least.
Sean made me laugh more than any other celebrity / comedian ever. He literally made tears run down my face from laughing, and now it’s tears of sadness, rip legend
Gonna miss seeing you Locky…😔 To all the guests and crew at 8OO10CDC who worked with Sean for all these years, thank you for giving us amazing and hilarious episodes week after week. condolences to you all and to his family. A real loss to comedy and the country. Godspeed Sean ❤️🙏🏼
I always come to these videos and end up in tears laughing. Ironic, isn’t it, that I’ll now be laughing through the tears. R.I.P Sean. Thank you for every time you’ve made me smile.
From across the pond, Rest In Peace. I turned off American TV and started watching channel 4. I fell in love with Sean, Jon, Jimmy and everyone. 8 out of 10 will never be the same
Couldn’t believe it when I heard the news. Kept his illness secret, and still had the ability to overlook that and make people laugh. What a top man he was. RIP Sean, you will be sorely missed. ⭐️💔
There has been a lot of celebrities who have died but none have affected me as much as shauns has. He was so full of life, loud and funny and i think thats what makes it harder to believe that hes gone
I'm not sure about that either. I think Miles has been genuinely laughing his ass of on many panel shows for years, and it never struck me as a fake laughter. A better example for performance laughing is Jimmy's seal impression, and even that's more of a slightly forced trademark than a narcissistic feat. Although on his built up comedy character that could also work well. When Jimmy was on TV Heaven, Telly Hell with Sean, he wasn't doing that put-on laugh.
Fodi I've heard that he actually used to have a fake laugh to cover up the asphyxiating seal noise but later embraced it which explains the difference.
Fodi He does genuinely laugh. When he does his own stand up you can see him trying not to laugh at what he's saying. I think the only thing that stops him is nerves. He is just one of those people that cracks up incredibly easily.
I'm so glad this show showed the nation how incredibly funny sean was. I'd got lucky enough to catch one of his specials just on tv and was laughing out loud from start to finish, for ages I was trying to tell people about this hilarious guy.
Loved this man...He was the perfect balance of weird and funny....most funny people aren't weird enough and most weird people aren't funny enough...REST IN PIECES Sean
I'm a South African musician who has been without work for 2 years now, which has rendered me clinically depressed. And this man actually helped me smiling. My days are worse off now. What a brilliant man.
Sean lock..... R.I.P the only reason I watched 8/10 cats and countdown version. Man the guy just made me laugh for just laughing. I also loved his DVDs too. Man so so sad. I could see he was ill but was hoping he would pull through. So sad :(
A very funny & fine gentleman & Chelsea fan, Row 2 East Upper in the 30's will be massively reduced by his absence. I occasionally sit in Row 3 right behind his seat. Although he generally kept quiet, preferring to watch the action closely when he did say something it was ether insightful or funny, and often both.
I only discovered Sean around a month before he passed. It was so weird. One day I’m telling my mates how I’ve found this new comedian that I love, then one day they told me, “ Did you hear the news.” I was stunned and sad. Such great adlib skills. RIP Sean
I totally agree *** UK humour is the best on the planet - Monty Python, The Goons, Rowan Atkinson; John Cleese; Frankie Boyle; Jimmuy Carr - triple sigh from an Aussie girl
I was going through a nasty divorce. Than I found Sean Locke and got better. Now he died and I am devastated again. Humor and everybody will miss you. TITAN.
Mick Lucas because he didn’t have to laugh. That’s the difference between American and UK humour. In America they’ll go ‘oh you didn’t laugh... that means (insert irrelevant rant here)’ but in the UK if you didn’t find something funny, that’s on you.
@@geminiwriter8875I think that a lot of the people watching these clips haven't seen the full episodes with Rhod Gilbert. They think he's just a miserable sod with absolutely no sense of humor. He laughs quite a bit. He has a very good sense of humor, but like Jon, he actually takes the competition seriously. If he's focused on the task at hand, it's highly unlikely that he'll react. He's committed to the game. Hell, he even taped his eyes open for 17(I think?) Minutes on another game show to be the one to go the longest without blinking. He's very good at maintaining his composure under pressure.
