That "stututu" sound comes when you get off the throttle after a pull and the boosted air in intake piping has no other exit but going back into turbo and the intake air tries to spin the turbo counter-clockwise and exhaust gasses spins it clockwise and this causes the fluttering sound as it tries to spin in both ways. Blow off valve gets rid of that fluttering and makes distinct sneezing sound
He's shifting right. He's waiting for the tires rotation to relatively match the road. The speedo gets it's data from the drive train regardless if the tires have traction or not. So when the RPM spikes the speedo follows. The tires might be spinning at 140kph when the rpms spike at 3rd gear but the car is still around 90-100kph when the needle hits 9krpm. If he shifts immediately, 4th gear rpms at 100kph might be bellow when boost kicks in. So he waits a bit till the car itself nears 140kph.
Wheelspin here is used to stabilize wheels (get traction) while remaining in powerband and not loose too much RPM at gear shift. That is useful if you have low-traction tires and lots of power. Plus, it's a demo race. A little wheelspin and revv limiter hitting is always appreciated! Gives a feel of the power!
You get a lot of wheel spin with regular tires, but I'm talking about how well he timed his shifts. It's pretty hard when you have an engine hitting the redline that fast.
can you please give me a logical and rational reason why i am not allowed to reply to an old comment, when i have the given right/option to, i was not aware i am not allowed to do so, is this a rule? please i just want a reasonable answer, imagine caring about slavery and racism lol thats so old, people are stupid why do people care about 911 shit happened in 2001 lolol losers.
Actually (just remembered), car made 1300 whp at 2.7 bar (app. 39 psi) recently. Video in on Jimmy's channel. Transmission is a V16x (either a V160 or V161) and is made by Getrag as well. V161 was only put on certain japanese specs models of certain years.
you know... When you have this much power almost all gears will eat asphalt if you pedal it... That's why he's huging rev limiter to gain enough speed for the next gear...
Once upon a time, on a busy summer day Jimmy got late to work. Disappointed by the reaction of his boss, Jimmy promised himself that he would never be late again. He thought long and hard on how to break the laws in the best way possible. Until finally an idea came true to him: Lets build a 1000hp Supra !. And Jimmy became so fast that never again was he late for work.
Suddenly... 3,2,1 (Gotta Blast) From here to the stars... Fuelled by candy bars... Rides the kid with a knack for invention... With a super powered mind... A mechanical canine... He rescues the day from sure destruction... This is the theme song... For Jimmy Neutron!
Q:why does the speed drop so significantly when shifting gears? A:1000+ horsepower and torque make the wheels loose traction when fully accelerating, so there comes the wheelspin even at 5th gear and as we know, the speed is measured from the differential so even if you do a standing burnout you will still see 50kmh on the clocks (in 1st gear)
I watched the years ago when I was a kid that likes fast car and now I opened a workshop making almost 1000whp like easy work but looking back at this I think it’s super impressive 👍👍❤️❤️
sorry sounded like you were calling me a dumbass for a simple joke I make about theis guy going over 8000 rpm. if not I revoke my comment and apologize for my troll comment
@@maxa1451 it has this much power because the turbo is quite big, so it needs rpm. If you shift early your just gonna loose most of the execess wheelspeed you had compared to actual airspeed while the clutch is pressed, and then fall out of the powerband. Or you use flatshifting to keep it spinning through the next gear, but by doing so you will just increase the speed difference between your tires and the road, which will decrease acceleration too.
Jimmy supra , found bonded together with a large Douglas fur off the side of the interstate. All that remained intact was a half full can of monster energy.
