I really enjoy how you're creating a story for the pens you review instead of just giving generic facts, it sets your reviews apart. Ooh, I love that lacquered barrel. Does it represent hours of craftsmanship or a whoosh! on some fiendish machine? For a sub-£5 gem, the _1501_ from Hero, the old-established maker behind several other Chinese pen marques, is worth a look, too. Again, it has heft (a metal barrel core) and a lined cap, with sleek profiling and a gold-on-black gloss finish. Mine's a willing starter after days and writes nicely. Like the 8802 under review, the impression is of holding a rather more 'prestige' fountain pen, and you'd love its positive cap _click!_
Another pen I've been curious about thanks! Happy to see that it's well made, writes well. So, is it your impression that the material is sea shell? Enjoyed your description/ video of the process. How long could one go on with a presentation of products one might be surprised to learn are made in China?

I was gonna get this pen for my first one but decided to get the TWSBI eco. Got my 2nd pen a few days ago, the lamy Safari. I also want to get the 3059 , Wing Sung 698, and maby the Pen BBS 902
