One of the best songs jinjer has released is Pisces 2017 and because it ramps up and then does a slow drop right before she starts belting growling into the mic. No other song from them has done it quite like that song. Most people I've shown it to think it's 2 people in the audio version until they see the music video of Pisces. Found that song 2.5 ish years ago and went "holy f I need to hear alot more jinjer gaww damn"

In 2014, Ukraine was attacked by Russian Federation, Russia occupied a part of Ukrainian territory including Jinjer's home town Gorlivka and wages the war until now. Also, Ukraine suffered from Russian occupation for the centuries before, including being a part of USSR until 1991. Recently Tatiana and Eugene of Jinjer gave an interview for a Ukrainian journalist where he asked them some questions concerning it. And they couldn't give a clear answer about who's guilty of what's going on, couldn't show a clear position regarding current or previous occupations, told about possibilities of visiting aggressor country and playing for them, were caught getting confused, and showed their neglect towards people who dislike such a position. And instead of thinking about it, they made this song and video showing that they didn't like it.

@ayham kimo Important details, really? They are ethnic russians? Where did you take it from? Shmailiuk is a Ukrainian surname. Abdukhanov - neither Ukrainian nor russian, rather something asian. But even if they really were ethnic russians, it doesn't matter at all. Whatever ethnicity you represent, when in 21st century someone comes to foreign land with weapon to kill, conquer and do even worse things (which I can't describe here because youtube deletes such comments), it deserves a definite appropriate attitude. And even more so, if they come and destroy right the place where you live yourself. If someone has no animosity towards who came to kill them, it should make angry not some "nationalists", but any normal human. Maybe it's a reason to see a psychiatrist. Especially this is unworthy when it comes from public people who can represent Ukraine in other countries. They could tell the truth to those who don't know, but they spread this "I don't care, I don't know" position around. Fortunately, Jinjer are probably the only such stain on Ukrainian metal scene; other musitians have mode definite position and therefore are respected in Ukraine and abroad.

Just FYI on symbolism: Ukrainian/Russian slang for "cop" is literally "garbage/trash" ("мусор" - "musor"). So that's the reference there I believe. Kinda badass (especially given the situation with justice system). And according to wikipedia, IRL the "tall man" the song refers to used to be a cop like an investigator for prosecutor's office or something like that. Also Oksen's detective wears white sneakers as did the "tall" man during that interview, which is unusual for police uniform. Obviously "musor" has more negative meaning than just "cop", more like "pig" I guess? You get the idea.

Their shit is definitely at a different level than alot of bands and this cones from a dude whose nose dived into so many bands over the past decade that I've lost track of some badass bands because of how many badass bands there are. Jinjer is just unstoppable atm. Hope to see them live soon.

Попахивает альтернативой... эти рифы, стиль, да еще и чистый мужской вокал, который для меня неприемлем. Жирный дизлайк, т.к это типичная Попса. I recently saw jinjer live and I must say impressive. The show was great. Impressed by all members. The stage presence was powerful. Was a small Venue with great energy and sound. Honestly enough can not be said about how good they were.

Small clubs shows are the cat's pajamas to begin with. Ive seen others like Lamb Of Gud, Opeth, Cannibal Corpse in clubs the size if q Billionaires bathroom before they leveled up. And the sound is ...sonic & resonant with such minimal negative space it's true metal head porn. Jinjer in a clubs, not even a small venue I cant imagine how sick that is. Hazmat suit to fight toxic TV hatred virus? We'll see, but, at least in my eyes, while being very personal, introspective album, Wallflowers still manages to touch very topical themes for society as a whole if you think about the lyrics. Mediator, Disclosure!, Pearls & Swine. All cover problems which can be applied to society as a whole in one way or another. Wallflower a bit too. With some extrapolation of sorts Call me a Symbol as well - like the culture and society where narcissism is enforced but at the same time people will create and follow whatever idols they can just to escape, in fact this is encouraged, like narcissism vs individual thought and will. But that's probably too much of a stretch. Anyway, some serious stuff to think about in these songs.

I'm conflicted about this. While you could give this song a broader topic like "toxic tv", we all know who inspired this song and who it is directed at. I sometimes feel they are feeding the troll, giving "tall man" more attention than he ever would have gotten without this song. It's a great song nevertheless and looking forward to see what they made of the video.

Tatiana has always been a great songwriter, especially considering english isn't her native language, but this album seems to be a step up not only musically but in the lyrics, very poetic most of the time and even better is the way she fits those lyrics over the instrumentals... just, amazing

I am feeling for the Ukrainian people.. I suported ongoing hope, money and influence on our political system in ways I know. I wish you all the best. I am highly disapointed about some news that I had to take in: Tanks delivered half a year late, - condition so bad that they were rejected. I am ashamed about this. This is not about freedom for Russia, it is about Russia trying to stay relevant by terrorizing innocent people. They claim this as an self-defence, but Putin does it worse than Adolf Hitler did. Hitler was the worst possible outcome in his days, somewhat Putin wants to put an shadow on him now. Don't tell me that I am wrong; We see the News from every angle, not like back in the days, when I lost both my Grandpas to the war in some way. War changes you.. never for the better. A war out of desperation, run by an goverment that the majority would not vote for, starting an war on innocent people. Yeah, I am german, I know the Start and the End of this Story. Looks like it is never getting old. Therefore, I feel extra-sad for those who have to live through all of this.. again. As history repeats.
