This is their story... because of the war in their homeland. I can’t (go) home so I want my home back.... please don’t leave us homeless. Their families are still Living in the war zone and can’t go home. Their deepest most autobiographical song. I believe Tatiana is playing a child in the war zone who’s home is ripped away from her, probably a characterization of her own life. The actual scene with the tea party Mimimics Alice in Wonderland which was also in the old Tom Petty video. This is their life.

It’s almost too much to process the first time around with all of the one-off killer stops, tones, vocals, riffs and individual greatness with all the band members. I’ve always listened to their songs multiple times just to hear everything and it’s just mind bending in the best way possible, JINJER slays it!!

Every song I hear from Jinjer is better than the last! I've been listening to rock music of all kinds for 52 years and this is the best band I ever heard...by quite a margin!

Hell of song with a very personal, deep and dark theme. Most of us are fortunate to have never experienced war in our own backyard. Another great reaction, your videos (especially Jinjer that I love) always put a smile on my face. Last Jinjer video you asked about their early stuff and in this you talked about the brutallity, well I recommend "Sit, Stay, Roll Over". It´s an early one and I don´t think there´s a more brutal track in Jiner catalog than that. Peace.

Technically, this was on Jinjer's Macro album, so it's not a "new" song any more. But it's great - and the video has a lot of thought put into the visual details. Major props to the folks who put in the hard work to get it beautifully done.

I’ve watched all of your Jinjer reactions so far and I’ve really enjoyed them 🙏🏻. I met them and saw them live here in Melbourne Australia last March and they were phenomenal! Very humble people to talk to as well. I do have another band for you to check out. Their name is IGNEA and they too are from Ukraine. They have the same sound producer in Max Morton. IGNEA is a 5 piece band with a female vocalist and her voice is also amazing! I’d suggest their latest music video, Jinnslammer. Both are extremely creative Ukrainian metal bands 👌🏻

The raw emotion in this can be felt right through the screen. We can only hazard a guess at the turmoil war imposes on its victims, especially the civilians caught in the middle. Part of why Jinjer is so damn good is because they had to tour non stop and play gigs to survive as they were refugees from their homeland. Even now, many families are apart. It doesn't matter on the century or geographic location - war is hell. This is an excellent expression of that reality.

Note: this "angel" thing happens in real life, it is flares that warplanes fire to divert any possible anti-aircraft missiles fired on them. ...thats one reason i love this band so much...im an old dude that digs progressive rock like rush and yes....very bass forward bands...never was a big metal fan until i found these guys about a year ago....still not a big metal fan but jinjer is my favorite band of all time at this point...try "on the top" official video.....different story but its got a similar feel....thanks for another killer reaction guys...peace....

Well spotted!! I knew they were from Donetsk or generally the Donbas region where their families still reside during this 6 year unofficial war!! They have a couple more songs regarding that region " retrospection" and " no hoard of Value" specifically targeting the miners where mining is the biggest asset of the Donbas region!! Having lived close to the region for 5 yrs in Dnipro I do feel attached to what Jinjer write moreso than some other bands!

@@noelle3551 Yes! Both are great songs. Retrospection is more about their lives and families, definitely worth doing the official music video for this one, because it has a lot of personal imagery. No Hoard of Value has a very good lyric video and is about the coal mining industry in their home region, which is one of the most hazardous working environments in the world. It's also the origin of the bands logo.

From an interview about Home back. Jinjer bassist Eugene Abdukhanov says: “War... War never changes and it never stops. No matter how much grief, misery, suffering and pain it brings there will always be individuals who either reap the benefits or just relish in it's power. They will drive others to march and kill in the name of... for the sake of... if we look really closer... nothing. It is really hard for me to embrace how people in the 21st century still believe that there is something to fight for on any battlefield. We all depend on a few major economies in the world and their national currencies. We all are at keystrokes length through the Internet. And yet... every day people are driven to kill their true brothers and sisters on our one and common land we call Earth. Then 2020 comes around and there is a glimmer of hope that this might be a turning point. That a common threat will unite all of us and this might be the beginning of a new era... but no. They still march and kill. Every war is a tragedy and a crime against humanity in my opinion. No matter what your beliefs or ideologies are, nothing justifies taking homes, health and lives of innocent children who inevitably suffer in every military conflict. Imagine hundreds of thousands of refugee children around the globe screaming at once: I want my home back!”

Im glad i listen to music from the bands early catalog rather than only listen to there latest material mostly to appease people who have already listen to most if not all of there catalog. Working backwards can lead to disappointment as you dont appreciate as much there early stuff and where they came from.

I couldnt imagine discovering a new band that blew me away and holding off listening to them.. torture lol I discovered Metallica with One, 48hrs later i brought and listened repeatedly to there first 4 albums and garage inc ep. Its really awesome the channel got you exposed to new artists like Jinjer, but its your musical journey not the viewer who's already listen to most/everything of the band.

Great reaction. This is a amazing song she hits really low deep grow if you want to see a good live video of going that low watch (Who is Going to be the One live) she goes really low there as well. Also Go back in time and see one of their earlier songs (Scissors) official video and your see where they started and see a great song but also see how far they come from the origins.

First let me say that I absolutely love your reactions! I really enjoy your analysis of the song and music along with the video. Keep up the good work!! Now onto this song/video. This has been one of my favorite Jinjer tracks since the album came out and I am so glad they made a video for it. This is such a powerful and meaningful song with extremely powerful lyrics!! The visuals only accentuate the meaning and power of the music and lyrics!! And also just knowing how personal the band takes this song.....well just makes it that much better!! Everything within this song/video put together is just PERFECTION!!

This is a fantastic reaction (as are all of your Reaction videos). Many have commented on the meaning /reason behind this song, so I won’t. There are MANY fascinating interview videos out there with primarily Tati and Eugene(bass) and a few with Eugene and Roman (guitar) talking about the music. They use a lot of Drop A and Drop C tunings and, of course, frequent changes in time signature. What really fascinated me most was that Eugene said that his bass guitars are hand made by a guy in Ukraine !!

the song was about the fighting in the Donbas region of Ukraine where they are from. It is definately anti-Russian and war in general. The song took on new meaning with the full on invasion by Russia on Ukraine this year though.

So two things I have noticed over the last three weeks of breaking down their music. The slow parts of the song define the genre. Regae, hip hop, and in this case jazz. The other thing i have noticed is that the heavy parts of the song are usually the same as the slow parts just without the distortion. They are crazy talented. They still blow my mind every time i hear them, which is every day.

The angle pattern is a anti missle defense and is on most millatary planes and helicopters if fired on they fire off the flack from the back of the plane and the rockets go to the hottest heat source. Oh yeah I forgot it's Jinjer time 😆 this album is 🔥 pausing death is the only song left on the album with no video. I always look forward to your response to my favorite band. I may not like the particular song, and usually I'll just move on if that's the case. But your commentary is normally spot on, technically. I'm not a musician, and certainly not a model (NO ONE in their right mind wants to see THAT). I have my opinions, and for the most part I love watching you to interact with each other as well as your critiques. Never mind the haters, I suspect they act that way because they lack the knowledge or talent to do what you two are doing. Keep the reactions coming!

This is why I worry about the band..because they are from Ukraine. I would take it this song is partly about russia..though it could involve additional nations, but I don't know any other that's threatening Ukraine like Russia is. I hope they all stay safe. Also, I don't know if you guys have heard yet, but Jinjer is set to release an album this year, but the date is currently TBD. I'm super psyched for this.
