Literally just watched the first minute of this video, I've never seen this person react to anything and I just thought the same thing. I love this chicks voice.
One of the best reactors, non-technical, I have seen yet. You are intelligent, well-spoken, and present yourself very well. Glad you like this band, keep reviewing them and the Jinjer horde will definitely have your back 100%.
I feel the intellect often goes under the radar of most. She doesn't write all the lyrics, but man, the chic can write. To make it extra-impressive, English isn't their first language. Amazing.
@@944CoyoteV8 Her intelligence is even more attractive than her physical beauty, in my opinion. After all, if you can't hold an interesting conversation, what does it matter how "hot" a person is?
Great reaction!!! More recommendation : 1. Jinjer - I speak astronomy 2. Jinjer - Who is gonna be the one? 3. Gojira - Silvera 4. Gojira - L'enfant sauvage 5. Muse - Hysteria (live) Rock on!
I have heard another reaction from black people saying they love Jinjer and that they would be the only black people in the audience. But come over ! You say you don't give a damn, so do the white audience I am sure! Everybody's welcome. It's good that metal gathers different communities. Music doesn't give a damn either about skin color. From a white guy :) ...
This performance was on last day of the wacken festival, in the morning. Everyone is just completely hungover thats why. Plus it wasn't the main stage either.
@@Justin-nq6kf that's entirely untrue bud, at least here in the uk anyway. Venues and gigs aren't what they used to be, sure: here soundsystems have been upgraded and the sound is much clearer, but i swear blind also quieter. It's not as loud, so it's not as ecstatic. Also venues here tend to forbid crowdsurfing since someone broke their spine at an incubus gig early in the 2000s. But having seen cattle decap, mayhem and rotting christ in the last 10 days, audiences are just as mental as they ever were. Never seen a crowd like slayer at wembley last year. Jesus fucking christ...
It was the Louder stage - it's one of the three main stages. Faster, Harder, Louder. Faster and Louder play at the same time - obviously there are other bands to pretend for main stages. I've been on the show, pretty good. Yes it was in the morning so not everyone could visit for "some morning problems". Other stages are not on the main field. I've been at WOA four times and have moved to other stages just in case I was somewhere in around or for specific musicians. Louder is the main stage whatever you say
Love your reactions. I have the same look on my face when I listen to Jinjer. Love this band. I was lucky enough to see them twice on their current tour. They are amazing live. Welcome to the Jinjer family🤘❤️
Love seeing you go through the excitement of this band!!! Great reaction!!! Who’s going to be the one , Live is another Huge one your going to love!!!!
Woohoo. It's Monday morning and I'm digging this on my way to work. :D The big festivals are all set up to record everything so most pro-shot video is from those, but with Jinjer being a lesser-known band only a fraction of the audience is their fans. Napalm just released their NYC concert though - it is fire. Missing the opening song Teacher Teacher due to technical issues and they skipped recording the encore Pisces. But other than that it is great. Most of the other most popular songs they have done are in that.
Great reaction! This is a classic example of Tati's vocal ability. And, amazingly, this was the last song of the set and she still sounds that good, and did you notice starting at 3:49 was all on one breath!!! Jinjer rules! Peace!
YES!! Thank you for reacting to this video. I'm one of the MANY who requested you to react. Saw them Oct 8 in Toronto and they deserve to finally be headliner status 😁
Ive been hearing so much about Jinjer but never got around to listening to them. Loved discovering them with you, great song, extraordinary singer, and an amazing reaction as always. Tnx...
When I saw them in OKC back in September there were two African American guys on the front row. They were having a blast. So it's kind of rare, but not unheard of.
When I saw them live a couple weeks ago it was an amazing experience. You might be surprised at the diversity of the crowd. I know I was surprised by how many couples were there together. If you didn't get a chance to go yourself that's a shame, I think they were just near Chicago recently. It's still fun to see how much you enjoy watching and listening.
More JINJER please! Also, if you're not familiar with Devin Townsend, you should definitely check out his performance of "Kingdom" live on EMGtv. It's a great introduction to his vocal skills and his personality.
I just saw them live this past Saturday and what an amazing show! Watching the live videos is fun but seeing them live is something special. Such an amazing band. Check out their live video for Cloud Factory, another really good one.
Still my all time favorite Jinjer song so far. I love this live performance almost more than the official video just because of her strong growl voice live
Ty, ty. Good reaction. You don't need to do a reaction but you should watch the official video for this song as well. It is 'very' interesting. With their new album now out and their EP earlier this year, there is lots to choose from.
You would be surprised on how many black people go to metal shows. A couple weeks ago I was at exit 111 festival it's a 4 day festival and I cant tell ya how many i seen.. shit a black chick was swing deads in the slayer pit ..it was kinda cool to see honestly.
Saw them a couple months ago, they are wrapping up their North American tour right now. Amazing live, and no you would not be the only black person lol. Metal fans are incredibly inviting, probably because we all feel like outsiders.
Welcome back on your old channel, Muzit! It's refreshing to see different colors in the Jinjer's fanbase and headbangers as a whole. For that matter you should check one of the pioneers who paved the path for funk rock/metal in the black community - Mother's Finest. Start with their heaviest album "Black Radio Won't Play This Record" '92 and the opening tracks "Like a Negro" and "Power". You'll be amazed by Joyce "Baby Jean" Kennedy vocals.
Have just seen the video. There are many black people at Wacken, and the next Wacken is going to be Latino-American - lots of bands are already announced. Wacken is for peace in the world and the race of course doesn't mean anything. Not going this year but would definitely love to. And as the organisers say, "See you there, Rain or Shine!"
Fun fact: they had her gold jumpsuit for sale at the show I went to a month ago...and sold it that night. If I remember correctly, they were asking a few hundred dollars for it. 😊 The crowd is MUCH different when they’re headlining indoor venues. Much more energy!
I think they had it for $500. Someone said that it got sold in Denver, but they still had it for sale in Atlanta. I'm ready to go see them again. Hopefully next time, they'll be playing in larger venues. But the smaller one's are cool.
The guy that said that it got sold in Denver, he said it sold for $1000. But I don't buy that, since they had it at the show's that both of us went to. I think if I were to buy something like that, I would have to donate it to a Hard Rock Cafe or some place like that.
Daniel Stucky It’s my understanding it sold in Greenville. It was there when I walked in, but not when I left...and that was several shows after Denver.
You are so lovely and enchanting. You're my new favorite discovery on RU-vid. If you haven't already, watch the studio version of this song (reaction or not). This live performance is great, but the studio version hits harder, and it's actually my favorite song by them. I think you'd probably like "I Speak Astronomy" by them, too.
Nice video :) In audience's defense for not being enthusiastic .... it was 11:00 a.m. and ... at least I had terrible hangover from the previous day :D . Hope you listen to them live next time. Wacken is epic, so do not miss it if you have the chance to go :)
This band is *special* :) ....& it's not just Booya's vocals. They seem to compose cohesively, all pulling for the betterment of each song. Some of their work is *SO* complex with challenging time signatures, the quiet-LOUD-quiet thing, jazzy tapped bass in the melodic zero-distortion breaks.... & yet they manage to put together songs which include all of these wildly contrasting parts (all excellently executed) in such a way that you don't realise quite what a sonic rollercoaster you've been on til you look back over it! And for the lyrics to be so worthwhile, where English is a second (or third) language.... Kudos all round! :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love this band. Ethnicity doesn't really matter, what matters is that you like the music. To be honest I'd feel a little odd being in my mid fifties at a show like that...even though I fit the ethnicity and gender for Metal. 🤘🙂
Just seen your comment. I'm 55 and went to Jinjer (again as saw 3 years ago. GREAT live) Devin Townsend (again, saw 4 years ago, legend) and Eluveitie recently. Though age of crowd seriously depressing as so much younger, there are loads of old uns like us too. Women, black, asian, all welcomed. Metal is a family. If anything I think people of colour are more welcomed. A 90 year old, black, female metal fan would probably be crowd surfed with joy by any metal crowd surely?! Also, for all the young people that you may feel uncomfortable with, they know we were able to see Slayer in their prime, plus Dime with Pantera, Metallica when they were good, Maiden etc, etc. When I go through bands I've seen young people drool and in return I get them to tell me what it's like being able to run up a flight of stairs without collapsing. So though I'd love to be 25, I'd hate to have missed all the great gigs going back 40 years. Get yourself to some shows mate, and if in London let me know and I'll even go with you! G
Oh you need to do some Oceans of Slumber, female and black fronted progressive metal. That might be really up your alley sound wise. I recommend Winter as a good introductory song. Or if you want the blackest of black (fronted) metal try Zeal & Ardor, avant-garde metal from Switzerland.
The beautiful thing about most metal crowds is that they wouldn't give a damn either if you were the only black person there. In my experience anyway. It's all about having a good time and the music.
Great reaction! Definitely one of my favorite live Jinjer performances on RU-vid right now. You should check Leprous "Contaminate Me" live at Rockefeller Music Hall. It's pretty epic.
Crisis “ a graveyard for bitches” featuring Karyn Crisis one of the first females doing harsh and clean vocals. I haven’ t seen any reaction videos on her band from the 90’s. You’ d be the first.
Just found your channel(s), a few things...#1 love your name, very beautiful #2 your tone and reactions are great- love your voice #3 (only negative) wish we could hear the song a little clearer or louder. look forward to hearing more from you and your metal songs...need suggestions??
Please react to Jinjer " Pit of Consciousness"...a new song and video. Excellent! Tatiana looks different again with a waist length ponytail. The song is about mental health struggles.
If you want something that's metal, but completely different and almost uniquely uncategorizable, then check out Type O Negative. Also, since it's Hallow's Eve, it would be quite appropriate. They're theatrical and gothic, but in a tongue in cheek humorous good way. There's no other metal band that would bring out the spooky but fun Halloween spirit in you more than the legendary Brooklyn based Type O Negative. The singer's name was Peter Steele sadly he passed away back in 2010 from heart failure, he was a beast of a man, and one of the most imposing and charismatic frontmen in the history of metal. He was 6'6 muscular and looked like a literal vampire. They were a brilliant band and perhaps one of if not the most underrated. They're very different, not typical in the least. Almost like Tool (who you did a review of a month or so ago) meets Black Sabbath meets Elvis. With the epic soundscapes that Jinjer has. Here's a few tracks a few of them music videos, with links I think you'd like. I really dug your reaction! And just as a side thing-if you might like to pronounce “Wacken” like the locals do, one would say “Vacken.” (In German, “W” is pronounced with a “V” sound.)
Hello Muzed! I've seen some Jinjer reactions on your other channel. I like your reactions a lot. Before everyone starts flooding your comments with mostly old school metal and Jinjer requests, can you please react to Motionless in White - Disguise? I'm black btw and there's actually a lot of us in the metal genre. I have at least 5 or 6 black friends who are metalheads.
I couldn't pass by such a beautiful girl, who can appreciate a good music as well) If you want more Jinjer, I can suggest Who Is Gonna Be The One, Outlander, Perennial (official video), I Speak Astronomy (epic ending!!!), Teacher Teacher, Sit Stay Roll Over and so on. Great reaction! Thanks!
Great reaction😀. You're really listening closely. And your voice is silky smooth. You could be on radio..Or tv, with those looks.😍 Anyway..Keep it up😋💪
You need to check out some NightWish, try something from their Wacken 2013 headline show, maybe try Dark Chest of Wonders, Romanticide, Ghost Love Score - or anything really, it's all awesome 🤘
I can see from your channel you like movies, so you must check out metal band Ice Nine Kills. Most of their songs are based on horror movies, and their music videos are a complete horror show. Here are some music videos to check out and the movie they are based on: Communion of the Cursed - The Exorcist Hell In The Hallways - Carrie The American Nightmare (extended cut) - Nightmare On Elm Street Your Number's Up - Scream Thank God It Is Friday - Friday The 13th A Grave Mistake - The Crow Stabbing In The Dark - Halloween IT Is The End - It (obviously) Merry Axe-Mas - Silent Night, Deadly Night The Fastest Way To A Girls Heart Is Through Her Ribcage - I don’t think this is about a specific movie, but it’s pretty cool. Enjoy Your Slay (Lyric Video) - The Shining The Nature of the Beast - Base on the book ‘Animal Farm’ Me, Myself & Hyde [Official Lyric Video] - Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde SAVAGES (Lyric Video) - Texas Chainsaw Massacre Bonus - these videos are a great way to get ready for Halloween!
I've heard this song dozens of times but it's only the last few that I feel like the song could have continued on... maybe with an operatic ending with moderate instrumentation. I don't know if that's just me or if anybody else feels the same.
Aaaaah,.. Muzeite'!?! Hope I spelled that right? Sorry if I didn't.. I just saw them in Iowa City, Friday night... And, it was an Amazing show! JINJER' is for Real!
